He did'n said that visualization is not useful. It can be, but it's still just a tool.
Get a machine that builds a stone sculpture of any (reasonably stable) 3D model. Give it to an average guy that can use a CAD program, and ask him to make artistic scultures with these advanced tools. Now commpare the results with the works of an artist.
Ok, mod me down because of my nick. But at least do it right! Mod me flamebait, or troll. But offtopic? The program linked to is the direct answer to the parent's question, that was already on the very topic.
It would be quite impossible for you to feel that way on 9/11. It was not until quite a bit afterward that the connection was made between him and 9/11. So, you have proven yourself to be a liar.
It was a feeling of "they are my heroes!", whoever they were. It was not a feeling towards Bin Laden. Heck, I didn't even remembered to hear that name until after that.
And as for choosing someone like him to be your role model?
What makes you think I take him to be my role model? He just had the guts and power (and luck too) to do throw a stone on Goliath's eye.
Go blow yourslf up, asshole.
Heck, why am I replying to such an unpolite person..:(
Exactly what I would point out. Wireless is a must for me, as I don't use the computer on a desk, but a sofa, with the keyboard on my lap. I seldom use the mouse, so the embeded trackball is great.
As for vi, well, you can remap keys. Not only in vi, but in X also. (I use caps lock as escape on my traditional keyboard.)
Do you know that rsync also runs on Windows? I even use it to synch some machines at the company I work for.
I'm all for Linux and FOSS (I run Linux exclusively at home, and I try to convince my boss to use Linux here), but don't be so blind as to say Linux is the only way.
I saw many comments stating that they should not write down the password on any file, etc. Seems that nobody here nor on Ubuntu has any clue..
First of all, the password shouldn't be read with normal stdin. The 'passwd' program reads the password in a more direct way, not allowing it to be redirected anyware. Just try "ls | head -3 | passwd" and you will see it does not work.
The installation should use it to enter the passwords, so that it will not even know what the password is, let alone writing it on a log file.
And if you don't own Microsoft Office, and don't want the bloat of OpenOffice.org just to see the xls data, use xlhtml to the rescue!

Because it sounds like he doesn't accept money for any programming
That's not true.
He doesn't accept that the software he (or anyone, and that's the part many people disagree with him) write is non-Free.
There are many cases where a company pay you to write Free software. Not all software is for selling. Many times the company need the software as a tool, and doesn't mind others to be able to use it too. I myself have been paid to write Free software some times. For example, to fix a bug in a Free software that the company uses. The patch is then sent back to the software project.
GIMP is very different from Firefox in that it's used buy the minority of people who edit images. Almost(?) everyone uses a web browser, it's part of a basic computer system. GIMP will never get the mainstream publicity of Firefox.
For example, I have Java 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5(5) all installed. Mono, GTK, Gnome libraries and similar things should also go in this place. If I need an app that needs the gnoem 2.12 libraries, I should be able to install them alongside the 2.10 libraries, but in a clean, modular way that can avoid dll hell.
Sounds good. The dinamic linker should be able to find and use the correct versioned files for the libraries, and gcc should be able to find the versioned include files/dirs too.
Shouldn't Linix still run "fine" on 32MB? What happened to cause it to bloat?
KDE / Gnome, basically.
Fortunatly, while they are "the default" Linux interface now, you still have choice of many other lightweight environments.

What about set the window you are working to be 'allways on top'?
There are some free keyboard shortcut utilities for windows around that let you assign a hotkey to toggle ontopness of the current window.

I only drink black, pure coffe, you insensitive clod.
It not only ruins the taste of the coffe, but (white sugar) is also a poison I like to avoid.
Just because it was the winner, it doesn't mean that *everyone* voted on it.

Did it hurt?
I really hate artificial limitations.
If you hate it so much, perhaps you should consider using an open operating system, that gives you the freedom to do whatever you want.
actually, it was a typo.

Well, I installed LFS once. It was a most rewarding experience. Seriously.
X took almost one entire day to compile on the Cyrix 686 I had at that time.
