    not correct.

they relesed it to the MSDN,OEM, and enterprise customers about 2 weeks ago. then, on monday-tuesday it went through the automatic updates service, then last night through windows update web page. it's the same servicepack for home/pro/mediacenter/tabletpc, so they wouldn't have a reason to stagger by version of xp.

Kind of sucks, doesn't it? Everyone suffers because two groups - artists and copyright infringers - decide to take everything to the most extreme extents they can.

Its the RIAA and CopyRight Infringers. the artists see very little, and the RIAA is just pissed that now they have a few million less coming in with CD Sales.

Most artists (except metallica - YUCK) could care less. they make their money from concerts and adverts.

Only 1 problem with the suggestion,

if you opt to not use/purchase the program/music because you feel that it's too expensive and/or not of good enough quality, but only have 1 thing that does that, i.e. one version of this song, 1 maker of microsoft windows, etc... then the decrease in sales gets thrown on the shoulders of "HEY!! People are pirating our stuff, that's why our sales are down, CONGRESS HELP US!!!!!" and that's not good for the people because then you get situations like what is going on.

The only way, is to organize boycots and have them be widely publicised as to why you are boycotting the product, and what will remedy the situation, that way a valid drop in sales due to people not wanting the product won't get blamed entirely on piracy.

Micro$hit does whatever they can to prevent these companies from selling systems without Windows. I personally won't buy a name-brand desktop system, however, looking at laptops, i can't find ANY that have the No OS option.

I am from South Dakota, just wanted to say, no offense taken. This place can be likened to HELL.

During the summer, it hits in the 90's-100's, lots of rain, tornadoes (had 40 in 1 day this summer), etc...; then, in the winter, can get 100 or more inches of snow, gets on a regular basis to -10 degrees, and, not all that unfrequently, stay below -20 degrees Fahrenhiet(spelling?) for a month or more.

When people tell me to go to hell, i just say "No thanks, i live there already."

Tom Daschle is from my home town (PRICK!) L. Frank Baum( the guy who wrote the wizard of OZ) was from there as well, kinda makes me wonder if dorothy being in kansas was hopeful thinking.

And of course you've heard of our EX-Governor, Congressman William J. Janklow (south dakota's William Clinton equivalent, just not the BJ's under the desk, cuz he's too damn ugly) who recently ran a stop sign going nearly 20MPH over the speed limit causing a motorcyclist to run into his Cadillac, killing the motorist.

HighSchoolers are trying to get out of this state, in droves, literally, so in about 30 years, there won't be anybody here anyways.

Interesting fact, Rhode Island, the size of 1 county in south dakota, has a higher population than South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming combined.
