The Dalai Lama is a very interesting guy, and I'd love to read his blog. But, technology in Tibet has nothing to do with him starting a blog, since he is in India with the Tibetan Exile Government.
I agree, perhaps a pin in addition to the password would suffice. So that when you want to access another service, especially checkout, it would require a little verification that it is still you on the computer. This adds a little bit of insulation to the account, and wouldn't be too much of a burden.
I was another one of the students at this lecture here in Madison. It is true that the one class that does use Windows machines is the CS 302. This class is intro programming with Java, and I still don't understand why they don't use this class to introduce students to Unix stuff in the first place.
I wish I had thought of some questions to ask him, none came to mind off hand. I think that for the remaining schools he visits, we should get students to ask tough questions, as he seemed to arrogantly shove aside issues like open source software and Google. I figure it wouldn't be hard to trap him.
I have a couple LED displays, which I also want to program on the computer. Mine is an Alpha display. What is with all the Greek letters? Anyway, if anyone knows how to work with the same things, help would be cool.
I am wondering why these comments only got a -1. I think they should get at least a -3. This comment right here is worth -1. The others -3. Got that straight, good. Also, the disturbance of the frequencies used by emergency services is terrible and should be stopped immediately.
This may be a dumb question, but what made Tim O'Reilly such an expert on matters such as what should be done with Microsoft. I don't know too much about the matter, but I just don't know if he knows all this stuff. Please post with some good info on Tim O'Reilly.
I think the They Might Be Giants song "Robot Parade" is a prediction of this future where robots will do much of the work for humans. This is a problem though, because if the song is correct, the children will gain a leg up on adults, controlling the robots and all.

That rocks, you should sell the lyrics to Weird Al.
I was there once, I could barely stand let alone do any slashdotting. The elevation sucked.

I have a pump in my small water fountain that is pretty quiet. I think that it would work famously in my computer.

It is my view that we shouldn't try to meddle with nature, because everytime we do she kicks us in the ass.
This is a very cool thing. I wish windows would have thought of this way bak when. Oh yeah they did. Active desktop sucks.
This is good news because now my teacher who is devoted to Novell will start teaching linux in class. We got about 12 seconds of it last year.

I don't know too much about wireless education, but I do know that CueCats rock.
