    No, I simply stated a fact: if you don't like paying taxes in order to take care of the troublesome/sick minority you can always leave - the minority can't. You won't starve, they will.

    So you can be a student slave, or a corperate slave, which one do you prefer?

    Where I live you can also sit on your ass on government welfare and do nothing.

    Which, I think, is perfectly OK. I'll happily pay taxes to keep these people housed and above the poverty line than have them begging on the streets and mugging people for a living. People who don't want to work/won't work are, after all, a minority and will never bring a society financially to its knees.

    And before the libertarians jump in and start spouting crap about how they should not be made to pay for these freeloaders, let me remind you that you are free to leave the society. You can take your business and live outside it, all tax free, but you'll come crying back when you realize that you'd have to fund your own law enforcement, health care and rescue services.

    Human actions are not contrained by logic. Failure to recognize this in discussions means your analysis of potential human action will always be flawed.

    Human thought is not constrained by logic, but failure to the the logic of your actions is what has led into Gulf War II, 9/11, potato famine, crusades and the War of Troy. Yes, religion plays a major role in each of these, but fundamentally it is the lack of logic that's to blame.

    Quite frankly, these decisions are madness.

    If we were living under a dictatorship, having such a constitutional background would make some sort of sense. However, no matter much the desperate left-wing "intellectuals" wish to paint the current situation in black, we still have the freedom of speech and more than adequate protection against the government (yes, those "Americans" in Quantanamo deserve everything they're gonna get).

    Why must everything be so hard to do on Linux?

    On Windows, I just install Kazaa to download my kiddie porn. Just click on the "install" and all was set for me.

    Now the laptop I've been given is running Linux and getting eDonkey to run was a friggin' nightmare! Opening ports in the firewall, installing user interface and the program separately (WTF?!) and still it is slow as hell.
