have you tried pushing your monitor that hard? Best i can make an (admitedly slightly older) G500 21" do is 2000x1500 @ 77Hz; any higher and the pixels distort. What your graphics card can drive it at, without strange effects, is a different question as well: with a matrox g400 i use 10px fonts and stare at this screen all day long; with a nvidia card 12px fonts and 1600x1200 made my eyes melt.
right. see something people are enjoying, possibly even learning from; and piss on it. Aren't you poroud? aren't you clever?... would you like a cookie?
i intended to flame AMK for his interest in XML, and you for citing him as an authority... but damn, he's right. Parrot aspires to be a toy for design wankers.
a lot of it _is_ a grand plan. he leads by excellence, which is so rare that you and all the 'pundits' can be excused for not seeing that its leadership at all.
dont forget the little also ran networks... the groups of 10 boards across the country that used some RBBS hack and thought they were a network... UUCP on msdog was no fun.
RMS is such a freak. Not one person in a million has the vision to have thought up the GPL, not one in a billion has the integrity or balls to keep fighting for the crazy dream for so long, against such opposition.
All HAIL RMS! Agree with him or not, his efforts have made your life better.
They're very reluctant to diagnose viral bronchitis, they'd much rather you suck up codiene and antibiotics for a few months first before considering it. or a few years.
One of the few diseases that can be cured by smoking tobacco, and they wont tell you that, either. "stay sick, i have a payment coming up on the Porsche"
Are you willing to move? Are you willing to spend about half your time doing $stuff for someone else, if you're allowed free reign and support for your own projects the rest of the time? Are you willing to accept room and board as part of your pay?
donet forget openccvs; the credit card processing package he tried to release. Its not been around for a long time now, and shortly after it disappeared, so did he.
I figure that has more to do with his unemployability than anything else; I'm suprised "they" didnt have him killed.
14kHz? not so. more like 25kHz. A person with normal hearing can usually discern 20kHz. Many people can't immediately tell a difference between 15k and 20kHz tones, but given a few tries they can tell that they're different even if they couldn't say which was higher.
im using a nearly identical setup (nforce2 audio, AIW capture); the audio needs to be really strong coming into the AIW's input header. Get a pre-amp or switch to a better sound card.
after your mailserver has sent to $N @aol.com addresses, they begin to silently drop further emails for some period of time. When your subscribers are (to put it most chairitably) not extremely computer literate; your only option might be to feed your aol subscribers as a separate job, sending many more copies of the same email over the wire than would be necessary otherwise.
Liability. kids drag racing crack up; they or their parents sue the property owner. "maintaining an attractive nuisance"; if you have an untended swimming pool on your property, folks who trespass to swim are still your responsibility.
Don't blame the government, at least directly. its the damned lawyers. Of course the government is mostly run by lawyers...

ahh, but you weren't using $800/roll, audiophile duct tape, now were you.

then why do you feel the need to post? dipshit.

78 gutless? ... of course you dont have problems finding parts for it. just follow one and pick up the stuff that falls off

interesting timing, isnt it? They're about to be de-funded, and suddenly there's really weird solar activity that needs study....
they probably are, but that doesnt mean its done... now thay have to be educated about the license they agreed to wehn they chose to use GPL code.

Think how much easier routing would be. Unfortunately, tracing would be just as easy...

own one; wouldnt have bought it had i known about the AGP funkiness beforehand.
Computers aren't quite to the point where the throwaway engineering is going to lead to market success, i hope.
just dont try to run an ATI or non nvidia graphics card on it; the AGP supoort is still not there as far as i can find.

has your cutlass ever been exposed to moisture?
I had a '77 cutlass for a while; it was so rusted out the spare tire flew out of the trunk, through the fender, while going around a corner one day.
thanks for pointing that out. I plead lack of sleep and the evil influence of cold medications
