    have you tried pushing your monitor that hard? Best i can make an (admitedly slightly older) G500 21" do is 2000x1500 @ 77Hz; any higher and the pixels distort. What your graphics card can drive it at, without strange effects, is a different question as well: with a matrox g400 i use 10px fonts and stare at this screen all day long; with a nvidia card 12px fonts and 1600x1200 made my eyes melt.

    RMS is such a freak. Not one person in a million has the vision to have thought up the GPL, not one in a billion has the integrity or balls to keep fighting for the crazy dream for so long, against such opposition.

    14kHz? not so. more like 25kHz. A person with normal hearing can usually discern 20kHz. Many people can't immediately tell a difference between 15k and 20kHz tones, but given a few tries they can tell that they're different even if they couldn't say which was higher.

    what did they do with the nforce2? crappy integrated everything ... and AGP that only works with their "unified" drivers.

    Computers aren't quite to the point where the throwaway engineering is going to lead to market success, i hope.

    just dont try to run an ATI or non nvidia graphics card on it; the AGP supoort is still not there as far as i can find.

    im using a nearly identical setup (nforce2 audio, AIW capture); the audio needs to be really strong coming into the AIW's input header. Get a pre-amp or switch to a better sound card.

    after your mailserver has sent to $N @aol.com addresses, they begin to silently drop further emails for some period of time. When your subscribers are (to put it most chairitably) not extremely computer literate; your only option might be to feed your aol subscribers as a separate job, sending many more copies of the same email over the wire than would be necessary otherwise.

    I had a '77 cutlass for a while; it was so rusted out the spare tire flew out of the trunk, through the fender, while going around a corner one day.
