IIRC the 12 week course consisted of: 2 weeks intro to basic computing concepts (basically the OSI network model), 3 weeks of pseudocode, 4 weeks of Cobol, 2 weeks of assembly, and 1 week of ADA. As far as I can tell, the purpose of this "training" was to weed out the people who couldn't understand the basics like looping and control structures. My real training happened once I got to my permanent duty station, where I was fortunate enough to work with some *brilliant* people who taught me how to develop good software. (Thanks Capt. Block!) So, where are the bad and where are the good schools? anyone?

Until the tariffs are equal and labor/enviromental issues are equal with our trade partners, America is going to continue to lose jobs, companies, and wealth.

Well, you could go on with this endlessly. What about america polluting the environment? Kioto?
    Ping-pong.

The best move would be to lower the tarriffs to all countries. So america would compete shoulder to shoulder with others. Other argumenst are just excuses to hide or to escape from reality.

Well. One model for google.com might be that they charge ISP-s for search results. And ISPs will get their money from monthly internet connection fees.

Just incrementally better offers (for those who will pay)
    -Faster
    -More features
    -New features
    -County specific

And google.com might be monopoly infrastructure service. either ISP pays or is out of business as their clients switch to other.

Well. I have played with the idea. Should I buy memory stick or cd burner. Yes, indeed, I haven't bought cd burner yet. Just listening to music on my PC.

You have to add one side to this math.
There ara other nuisances that does'nt convert directly into dollars.

My options are (the cheapest first)
    - cd writer
    - memory stick
    - iPod or some clone
    - laptop

Burning CD-s. It takes time to rip, it takes time to burn. It is quite annoying and tiresome activity.

iPod. Good, but why to carry a high disk wih me. Yes, there is risk that it crashes. At home I could use my PC that stores more bits and sounds.

So I decided to choose between memory stick or laptop. Or both of them.

The main factor that influenced this decision is that it is so convinient to renew music in a memory stick.

Actually I haven't bought new laptop or memory stick. Just decided to extend HD of my PC. Still shopping around.

But criminal are clever too. So the answer is ... use firms that provide security services. They are professional and efficient. Well, yes. Something could be done about car alarms as these are screaming on the streets. Like if, we could have a net (poeple agaings car thiefs, kind of home watch), if car alarms decides the car is been attacke it rings mole phones in the near vicinity.
