who will go through a boring buggy game 30 more days ?
people complained about a missing auction house or item search functions since start of beta. SEs big fix was "renaming" the zones where the market npcs are standing (glovemaker ward, smithy ward etc.) and expects players to set up their retainers there voluntary at the rght place.
and this took them 4 weeks after their big announcement.
but ffxiv is not crippled by loads of bugs, its just that there is not a lot to be buggy at all.
its just unfinished. a nice tech demo/alpha. and yes i took the pain and played a botanist to 22 before i noticed i cant finish the story quests as a botanist and gave up. this game needs at least 1 year full time feature completion, not live team fixes.
dont know if anyone mentioned the stupid multi class system yet, that allows you to change your class, but NOT to your attributes with a change. im the strongest mage now with little mana. thats just one of the many things ingame that are in theory nice, but done in a braindead fashion, done by complete mmo game design nubs.
i wonder about this number too. you cant make a mmo with this number of people, makes no sense. its impossible to make a good game with so many people spread around. maybe in north korea with a strong dictator leading the way...

security experts have been telling them its shit and unsafe for years, but this is how lobby driven projects get pushed through. really a shame. and of course totally overpriced.
im all for that. lawyers making money out of thin air should be shot. its like parasites feeding on human innovation potential, nothing is gained here, it just slows everything down.
not only that, the german registry offices are still allowed to sell your informations and they do. to banks, insurance companies, religious institutions , the gez (gestapo like org. collecting money for tv stations) etc.
