Just got my settlement form and the BEST deal on it is to get a $25 credit on your Verizon bill. Don't be fooled that the consumer ever wins.

The load must have been too much. You can no longer get the PDF. We're sorry, this item is currently unavailable. Our hosting provider, Verio.com, has disabled our fulfillment system. Hopefully it will be available at some later date.

For more than a year most bittorrent clients have had the option of allowing you to use non standard ports, so the concept of all BT data using 6881 thru 6888 is quite outdated.

...and sense a good deal of spam still comes from free email providers that use no validation for how many addresses are taken from a single IP (i.e. Yahoo, MSN or and AOL with their SPAM in your snail mail box), I have long ago blocked these domains from my company email servers greatly reducing SPAM. Maybe I'm just bitter because AOL doesn't send out floppies you could actually use anymore. Now if they started sending out their free trials on CD/RW maybe I'd back their hypocricy.

  11. Pot meet kettle on ISP Responsibility in Fight Against Spam · · Score: 0

This from AOL, who as some of you may recall was ("in it's past") caught selling email addresses of subscribers simply as part of their marketing scheme.

  14. No enforcement on Do-Not-Call Registry Coming to Canada · · Score: 0

Like most concepts the U.S. brings out to make the common people think they are being protected, it isn't enforced. Just like the CAN SPAM bill signed by King George. Are you getting less SPAM? Now the government is allowing cell phone numbers to be sold to telemarketers. Where is the government when I go over my minutes? Same place as with my land line. Remember, in the U.S., the do not call list does not apply to charities and political contributions. Amusing how they equate themselves to a charity. Most receipients of charities don't have full health coverage.

  20. Watch for the payoffs in six months or so on Blackboxvoting.org Raises Vote-Audit FOIA Request · · Score: 1

With literally billions in contracts given away to companies (like Haliburton) without any bidding after the last 'election', and billions more available now, not thinking that the companies making voting equipment 'might' skew the outcome to get a piece of this pie is naïve. Are you paranoid if they really are out to get you?

  21. Time on There Is No Single Instant In Time · · Score: 1

Yes! In order to quantify time, you must be able to stop it and look at it as an instance. But it is a constant flow, not a series of instances. Simple if you can admit static math can not handle this.
