I just got back from China (12+ hrs from Beijing to Chicago). On the way over I was in the middle section, i.e. no window. I didn't miss anything. On the way back I had a window seat and only looked out for 10-15 minutes in a vain attempt to see the Great Wall after departing from Beijing.
Only a minority of people actually get window seats as it stands, and most people who I know travel frequently prefer the aisle seat.
It's just a hunch, but I believe many of those that prefer a window seat would give up that option if it meant their own seat was wider and/or had a little more leg room.
My alarm clock had a blue hue, even on the dimmest setting it was enough to illuminate the room after a few minutes when my eyes adjusted to the low light level.
Maybe instead of being a terror, my cat was actually trying to give me a better night's sleep by chewing through the cord rendering it useless.

Personally, I feel it's irresponsible to pretend we have no impact. I don't care if it's a large or small impact, it still exists. It's embarassing that we reject change that could make the lives of many people better, because we've got to protect a few profits.
The investment to make these scan spam accounts probably makes it worthwhile if they only have a clickthrough rate of 1/1000. Most netizens see it for what it is however many people do think that replying with anger is going to solve the problem. It's easier to report and ignore (when those functions are available)
Personally - I've only ever replaced one CFL and that was because I broke it with a broom handle by accident.
9 years a home owner with roughly 20 CFLs throughout the house (and 1 CFL in the lamp post light out front which survived one of the coldest winters in Ohio). I always get the bargain CFLs too.
FYI, most plastic injection machines use a screw to move the pellets that get melted and eventually extruded into molds. Sure there is some gravity at the beginning but that would be easily remedied by a 2nd screw in the cylinder shaped hopper.

Next year my son will be with them.
And I plan on sitting next to my son and creating with him in game. If we can do it once a week for an hour or two, that will be a great way to spend some time with him.
While a game was supposed to be nonviolent, plenty of Minecraft servers seem to have added functionality that allows direct fighting and ability to kill other players. Chat capabilities go unmonitored and "adult language" is widespread.
So do not let your child play, unsupervised, on these public servers. You cannot get to a server without specifically adding the server address (which you typically get by searching on the internet).
On a personal level, it annoys me that a game world with a level of 3d graphics and physics sophistication that was state of the art 20 years ago is extremely popular today, but I can see the draw of "retro" look and feel.
So graphics trumps gameplay for you? I still play my favorite NES/SNES games on an emulator because of how much fun they are, not what they look like.
My son is still too young, only 1.5 years old.. but when he's around 3 I plan to let him start fiddling around on the computer, specifically with Minecraft.
It takes coordination, cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity to create in this game and I'm looking forward to having this be one of the activities we do together as he gets older. Of course I also cannot wait until he's old enough for legos.. I only wish I did not sell all of mine 20 years ago in a garage sale..
I watch some streamers on twitch, for the "pros" everything is automated for them as they have done it all so many times. I'm still a noob at the game since I don't have much free time to play but look forward to exploring the game more with my son.

The problem, and it's quite evident by the responses so far, is that many STEM grads think alike. Larger companies do not want liberal arts majors to become their lead programmers, they want them to be part of a team that accomplishes a goal together.
Cross functional, diverse work teams are very beneficial to most companies. I've been working with our IT group for the past year to get updates made to the system my group makes. The only guy in that group that had any decent communication skills (he was also a very good programmer) bailed 2 months ago. Now progress is at a standstill because they do not have the confidence to talk to the customer (which is me in this case).
Define the basics. Seeds + Soil + Water + Sun = plant. Am I expected to know the composition of fertilizers or how much yield to expect per acre? I probably know a bit more than the average person because I'm in middle America and my dad's family use to farm.

The OP's statement was a bit ridiculous... not knowing that a certain OS requires 15% of HDD space should disqualify someone from owning a computer? What an expert knows and qualifies as "general knowledge" is most likely not general knowledge to the average person.
One of our production facilities installed two large windmills that supply roughly 10-15% of the power the plant uses. You would think this would lower the cost for purchased electricity, but it didn't.
The electric company raised the rates for our plant because the usage dropped enough that they entered a lower usage bracket which has a higher cost per KW/h. We actually pay MORE each month in electricity costs even though the plant purchases 10-15% less electricity..
Obviously they are negotiating the contract terms now (it may be done) but this is just one example of how the utilities have everyone by the balls. They are going to get their money, one way or another.
I'm sure for Tesla, it will be easier since they are starting from the beginning instead of doing a retrofit. However I hear similar stories from residential users. Most times people want to make the choice to use returnables but outside factors make it monetarily difficult to pursue.
I'm 5'8", legroom is not my problem. Seat width is my problem. I have broad shoulders. If I have to sit next to an adult, our shoulders will likely be rubbing unless one of us gives up the armrests and leans forward slightly.

The entire point I was trying to make, before you basically assumed my dad has covered for a bad cop and therefor makes himself a bad guy, is that most cops just want to do their job and go home. Yes, there are some who seem hell bent on making everyone else's lives miserable by using laws to their advantage. Giving you a ticket for going 58 in a 55, as an example. My dad worked with a few like that.. simply being a jerk isn't illegal.
You also need to know that we're in a relatively rural part of the country, 100k or so people in the county. There is not much excitement or shennanigans.
You can think whatever you want. The first 25 years of my life, I grew up around many peace officers. Most of them you'd never guess they were cops if not for the standard issue mustaches. They worked to uphold the laws passed by the various levels of government.
I'm proud to be associated to my dad. You'd probably get along well with him, unless your only intent would be to antagonize.
So, in other words, you want everyone to go back and act like it was in the 80's (well, except the real guns/ammo.. though I did get in trouble for bringing a transformer in that turned to a cap gun.. but all they did was take it away for the rest of the day and tell me not to bring it back).

If a chest cam is going to eliminate the contradictions between the cop and the suspect, so be it. A few thousand people died 13 years ago in a terrorist attack and now the rest of us who want to fly on a commercial aircraft are treated as potential terrorists.
