I'm 34 with a wonderful family and a good job. No one is going to care when they throw me in jail and charge me with a few lame charges.. and that will follow me around for the rest of my life. Even if the charges are dropped, they'd be associated with my name via the internet.

Also remember which generation most of the politicians represent. I feel that our country will continue going backwards until the baby boomers are gone... then we can start making positive change.

Just like alcohol, different amounts/types affect people in different ways. I can drink one beer then go drive myself home with no impairment. If my wife drinks 1/4 of a beer, she'll fall asleep within 10 minutes.

One of my best friends was a frequent smoker during college. He said it actually made his driving better because he felt like he was more careful. Granted he's a shitty driver to begin with, so his statement may be true. However I've been around enough "high" people to know their quick decision making skills are definitely impaired and I would not want them driving me home. I think they are less dangerous than a drunk guy on the road.. but that's not legal.

Even with all the failures of Obama's presidency, I still feel that he was honest about most of his goals that got him elected... that is what he truely wanted to do. However I think special interest groups own the WH now and the severe fragmentation of the political parties.. our elected officials would rather spend their career taking a stand to protect their interests rather than make a compromise with the 'enemy' and do something that is helpful to the country.

Here is a scenario. You are driving towards a steep cliff with your father, who happened to be sleeping in the car. As you approach the edge you ask if you should turn right or left. Since he's sleeping, he doesn't hear you.

    Do you:
    1. Stop the car
    2. Turn right
    3. Turn left
    4. Drive over the cliff while waiting on an answer

I think that was the joke he was making. The summary seems to suggest the pilot refused to take appropriate action to save his life and the lives of those on the plane because he was waiting for someone to tell him exactly what to do. The entire point is that he's a trained pilot and should not need step by step instruction on how to land a plane.
