I'm also in Ohio. My city targets a neighborhood and inspects all the sidewalks. Any that are crumbled or terribly affected by tree roots are market for replacement. The homeowner can either use the company suggested by the city to fix it at a previously agreed upon rate or make their own arrangements. Anything not done by a certain time is completed by the city at the homeowner's expense. The neighborhood my grandma lives in went through this last fall, it makes a huge difference to the asthetics.

They do something similar with yards. If someone does not mow and a complaint is made, the city will come out and mow it then bill the homeowner.

It may seem like the city is overstepping its bounds but they are trying to protect the value of the city.

As an American I completely agree with you. Here's the problem with the US right now, the far left and the far right are too busy fighting with each other and blaming each other.

I've got a very conservative friend that is blaming the liberal media for blaming the tea party for the bombing. He finds one random webpage that states this and it suddenly becomes the view of every liberal in the country. On the other hand, I've seen a couple friends who are more liberal than I blame the gun lobbies for the violence and the retardation of our nation.

None of them see the big picture.. we, as Americans, are morons. Most of us have no idea what it's like to work together towards a common goal.. it has to be my way or no way. Compromise is long gone. Reasonable individuals cannot get elected because all the money is controlled by the wingnuts, and money is what buys elections.

Not a bad deal, I could pick up C&C franchise for $29.99 and add a $5 or $10 filler to break that threshold.. sure I'd be giving them a bit more money but every C&C game ever made for $20 seemed like a good deal. However the fine print says the offer expired today at 10am PDT. I don't recall seeing the limitation to the offer until after I had purchased the game.

Today I got the email telling me I'll get a free game due to the Sim City fuckup. It's not fine print this time but the email says that eventually we'll be able to choose our game (doesn't say when exactly) but we have to have it downloaded by March 30th. They want to limit their "losses" by making the instructions difficult to understand and leaving a very short window to "cash in".

The only way Tesla is unique is that their entire product line is based on electric motor propulsion. Competition does exist for electric vehicles.

It would be silly for Tesla to price their vehicles out of the budget for middle class families. As an employee of an auto manufacturer, the money is made on server parts, not unit sales. That being said, the best option for Tesla long term is to sell more units. They may want the hipster image like Apple currently has... making a $400 impulse buy is slightly different than a $50,000 one.

My brother talked me in to pre-ordering the game, it's been awhile since I had played any of the sim city games and I enjoyed the 1hr beta using his account.

But wow what a clusterfuck yesterday's launch was. I was woken up around 2am by our infant and used that as an opportunity to d/l and install the game. Apparently it was a very wise decision. Once I got home from work around 5pm ET trying to get connect and stay connected was impossible. Three times I got a city started only to get booted after about 15 minutes and the game did not save any of my progress. After making and eating dinner my brother and I tried to start our own region. That took around 30 minutes before it finally worked and again we were kicked after about 20-25 minutes. I gave up at that point since the baby was fussy and my wife needed a break.

The N. American servers were filling up almost immediately after being brought online. It's almost as if EA thought only a third of their pre-orders would try playing on day 1. But a failed launch for EA is par for the course. Fool me once, shame on you... fool me again, shame on me.

The game itself was enjoyable during the beta... too bad the publisher is one of the worst companies on the planet.
