On second thought, why not just make a backup of the file regularly.. but if it's a large file, some real-time system is preferrable. In which case, crypting of a raid disk is a good idea. Ok, I guess I answered my own question.

Oups, sorry. I meant one-time Passwords, not Pads. Thus, it doesn't matter if anyone can catch any passwords, since they are immediately useless. You're right, use faculty for number of permutations. However, one could also combine with a dictionary attack, since you have a much smaller dictionary to go through. Combine with some intelligent number&odd character generator, and it might not take too long after all. The only defense is to use a completely random password.

But if the keylogger really doesn't record mouseclicks inside the password field, I think backspace can be added. Simply type a lot of characters, click the mouse somewhere, type more, repeat, making sure that somewhere in there are the password chars in the right order. Then start deleting characters at random until only the password remains. The only thing the attacker now knows is the length of the password, and a much larger set of possible characters.

If anything really needs reading, just ask on a forum, get the English manual thing that dynamism gives out, or change the locale to english. Changing locale makes most things magically turn into English as well.
