  1. Stupid IRS on Florida Proposes Taxing Local LANs · · Score: 1

They already tax the material with which one makes a LAN and the service to provide internet to that LAN; sheesh!

(P.S. Why on earth is there an ad for Windoze 2003 at the top of my Slashdot?!?!?)

    Or schizophrenic dual-booters...

  3. Re:Psychology plays a role on Is Linux as Secure as We'd Like to Think? · · Score: 1

But if MS and Linux are reversed, Linux will be harder to take down because:
1)It is not dependant on any one company or cash flow(or ANY cashflow at all)
2)It's open source, you find a bug, it's fixed in the blink of an eye because anyone can view the source
3)Linux was designed as a secure multi-user system-- unlike Windows

  4. 3rd Link... on How Objective Is Microsoft's Search? · · Score: 1

Searching on MSN for 'linux' the 3rd link is to tech.msn.com and says this:
" Red Hat 9.0 is a boon for those who already use it, but it's too expensive to warrant a switch from Windows. Try SuSE (or the free Red Hat) for a better mix of price and features."

Hmmm....? Biased?? Naw! Not good ole' MS!

  7. Pascal on In The Beginning & The Keys of Egypt · · Score: 1

Here is a decision matrix based on Blaise Pascal's wager (one of the world's most prestigious mathematicians):

GOD EXISTS | GOD DOESN'T EXIST

BELIEVE IN GOD Eternal Bliss | Just die, nothing more

DON'T BELIEVE Eternal Agony | Just die, nothing more

If religion (Christianity in my case) is a big scam, how come countless millions since the creation of the world have followed God and been willingly martyred for his glory?
