Wow I think you're imagining reds under every bed. Its no more than basic common sense and practical safety to require the driver be able to communicate in the same language as everyone else.
Playing a violin? She's almost certainly the person behind it. She clearly still knows nothing about the internet if she thinks stopping his connection will prevent him leaking shit on her. You'd think after her own private email server scandal she'd have bothered to at least get the first clue about how the internet works. I guess she thinks she's too important to have to actually listen to/learn anything from others.
> He is now nothing but a peddler of disinformation.
Wow. Any actual proof to back that up? Because there's a metric shit-ton of proof that his leaks are the real deal. If he was just leaking made up shit do you really think the US government would be so pissed off and so desperate to get their hands on him?
...as long as they make it VERY clear that this is a condition, BEFORE you buy the ticket. If its not mentioned, or buried in some post-sales small print, then they can go fuck themselves.
People conducting business that involves the public and their safety are required to know the national language. Imagine that.....But I can just imagine the rabid leftie PeeCee do-gooders will be all over this.
>> I would not be surprised if the experimental driverless cars are in the top 1% of the top 1% of drivers in the world.
Keep drinking the koolaid. Self driving cars have had plenty of accidents, such as these: http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/2... And they can't drive at faster than 25mph. I drive consistently faster than the speed limit and haven't had a car accident in the last 30 years or so. Does that make me better than the 1% of the 1% (presumably of that 1%)?
>> As long as they are better at driving and safety than humans, it is a progress, in my opinion.
Well, in my opinion, everyone seems to be too quick to presume all automated cars are necessarily safer than all drivers. Its probably actually true for some people in the US at least but not everyone. On my commute I frequently see people (especially women) texting and driving at the same time, even on the freeway. For example on Friday evening in rush hour I saw a lone female Lexus driver (illegally) in HOV lane (illegally) doing about 80mph while (illegally) texting with both thumbs, no hands on the wheel, hardly even glancing forward.
You're right. I guess my real frustration is with (apparently the vast majority of) the sheeple that can't see through this shit, even though its blatant.
Thats kindof why I said ideally a year, since 6 months really isn't that long. My approach includes first day I'm unemployed I cut all possible expenses, (reduce cable down to lowest tier internet only, get rid of all luxury spending like netflix etc etc), If I get halfway through my safety money still with no job, now I'm cutting expenses to the bone, returning cars or anything else I still have loan payments on, starting to sell any items of value, moving to cheaper accommodation, getting real with myself about why I'm not getting work which means re-evaluating my expecations. Perhaps addressing (perceived lack of) skills, lowering my money or job expectations, reconsidering unwillingness to relocate etc. 2 months away from running out of safety net money and I'm taking literally any work I can get, but still applying for any jobs I can get in my chosen career path, located anywhere, doing anything.
Yeah I'm VERY disillusioned with the (total lack of) integrity of ALL the mainstream US media. I mean its always been known that the big media are biassed, MSNBC, Fox, WaPo etc have always made that clear, however this election has proven that ALL the mainstream media has absolutely no moral scruples and have all completely and utterly sold out to the left.
OF course this will not work 100% of the time for every situation, but using that as an excuse to not even try to prepare for any emergencies is pretty stupid.
Exactly my thought. You can bet as soon as government jobs start to look replaceable, the Governments position on AI will suddenly change to outright hostile. Especially if it looks like AI would do a better job (which is inevitable simply if it is designed to do whats best for the people rather than be corrupt).
I don't know what kinds of games you play but the games I play mostly have heavy 3D graphics and are twitch games that require minimal latency such as FPSs. Then factor in that I have a ultrawide QHD monitor and also do VR gaming (HTC Vive). I honestly haven't tried a 1x PCIe GPU (because I dont even have one) so can't definitively say you're wrong, but everything I know is telling me that there's zero chance that any 1x PCIe GPU would cut it. Even if the bandwidth provided by 1x PCIe turned out to be sufficient (which I strongly doubt), any GPU that comes on a 1xPCIe format card will be a budget-class chip so by far not enough horsepower.
>> But now that his releases harm a Democrat, his words are, as the very first post here claims, "bullshit" and he is not to be believed.
Totally. If only I had mod points.
I'm happy to believe that there may be an ulterior motive, but it seems like the objective/end result is a good one regardless.
I apologise for giving you a compliment prematurely and am happy to take it back. You clearly haven't actually grown.

> The level has been raised though, mostly to try to keep eastern European Uber drivers from competing with natives working for cab companies.
Can you cite any references to this or is this just your supposition?

This has "Hillary" written all over it.

Good, You're clearly growing as a person :-)
Ah I see you're also doing that thing where Amercans think every other country in the world has the same fucked up rules as the US.

How do you know this? You're making the same large generalization.
