Although I agree with you, your post is a little hypocritical. Why do you need a car with 230hp? Certainly you could get away with a 100-120 hp 4 cyl... unless of course you're looking for more power and faster acceleration which is also less safe for other drivers.
It always baffles me when people will go out of their way to go to a gas station that is 2 or 3 cents cheaper. If they fill a 15 gallon tank, thats only 30 cents they'd save... and chances are they wouldn't take the time to bend down to pick up a quarter on the sidewalk.
I'm pretty sure that in the future they'll still have the technology to make a cd player. Thats like saying there's no possible way we could produce a functional equivalent of the Model T, because they are no longer in production.
The other reason religion was created was to explain the unexplainable. It gives people comfort to know that if something is unexplainable, its probably because the bible says so, or god made it that way or whatever. I think thats why religion is dying these days, because with the great advances in science, things are getting explained and people dont need that comfort.
They didn't say it conducted electricity better than solder and it doesn't look like the goal is to replace solder. Just as far as heat sinking, this new paste will conduct heat better than existing products.
If the RIAA has a team of lawyers powerful enough to issue 871 subpoenas in a few days, I'm pretty sure they have the power to squash a couple of mediocre lawyers working pro bono.
In scuba diving, you can descend as fast as you want... like you said, its coming up thats the problem. I'd assume that jumping out of a plane at low pressure and falling to high pressure would be analogous to descending in scuba, in which case theres not really a problem.
