I can understand WotC wanting to release new material to milk us dry.
However, I don't understand the online 'table'. Didn't they say that NWN would be something similar?
It's one thing to make a pen and paper RPG.
It's another to make a pen and paper MMORPG.
Obviously any serious graphic designers aren't going to stand for anything but a matte screen. I'm sorry, but seriously. While an accurate screen can help, anyone with a half-decent brain knows that the colours on your screen are never going to exactly match what you're printing off.
Any Half-way decent Graphic designer knows better.
"Well if it bankrupted the company then yes that would be too far certainly. If it made it so the company when complying with the law (ie not being fined) could not actualy make a profit after costs, that would be too far."
What if the practice itself is illigal? Say drug dealing? Certainly a drug dealer will be bankrupt should the police catch im and throw him in prison?
The awards you were talking about were probably the Cannes Lions (Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively). Failing that, it could be one of the rehash shows from networks that play most of the old Cannes winners.
You see, there's an error in your logic Score Whore. Over my two year program at college I will have paid: $8,800 In tuition $6,000 On my bloody-near-useless food plan $6,000 For Residence Fees $0,500 In lab fees ------ $21,300 Total
Even though my college is given money by the government, (Humber college in Toronto Ontario if you would like to be spesific) you would still find it acceptable to limit our usage of the internet since it is Government funded (Of which I also pay taxes, on everything I buy, my income is taxed as well). So how exactly would I not have the right to complain if they limited internet usage for what I have rightfully paid? $21,300 is not chump change.
"I'm just a poor typer while driving."
Most terrifying thing ever.
Keep your eyes on the road man! They've banned cellphones in cars for a reason (at least where I live).
Think of the children! (no really:P)
About the ipconfig thing..
Most Windows users are terrified of using the GUI as it is, can you imagine telling them to use the command line? We're not the normal Windows user.
Why do they want their IP (Ever play older online games?)?
ipconfig is obscure. It's a throwback to the command-line day. Joe-Six-Pack won't know the difference between backslash and slash, let alone how to navigate DOS.
You're making the assumption that the user knows how to find and use the command line, you're also assuming they know what the command line is.
It's not one step either.
Start
Run
Type in 'cmd'
Type in 'ipconfig'
No, you cant just type ipconfig from the 'run' menu. it executes the program, then closes the window, a 'feature' of XP.
Just a slight inaccuracy in your above statement. You see, they also support macs, officially. Mac's are the last thing in the patch notes and the client is on every "windows" CD. (Its also available in the Apple store). I agree with you though. Its well within their rights to select which platforms the game can be played off of.
You don't need these. Aside from the lovely consept art, most of the D&D content can be found in the SRD (System Reference Document). Which encompasess the core rulebooks, as well as some of the fringe 3.5 content (Psionics, Divine feats, etc)
You can download it in chunks or the whole thing. They are in unencumbered RTF files. Totally free too!
In Wizard's own words, here is the missing content from the SRD:
Q: What's missing from the SRD compared to the core D&D rulebooks?
A: Mostly the "flavor" elements. There are no named gods, none of the spells have significant NPC names, there's no mention of Greyhawk, etc. You'll also note that there are no rules for character creation, for advancing characters in level, calculating experience, or anything else related to the topics forbidden by the d20 System Trademark Guide.

Yes, but copyright does not mean it's illigal, I have several mp3's that are copyrighted, and I have legal use of them. As a) I was the creator of the actual content or b) I have written permission from the Garage/Pub band to distribute said MP3s.
I think that by humanoid they mean the shape, two legs, two arms a head and body. They've used this term before in Star Trek and such. "I'm detecting three humanoids, two human, one klingon" etc.
Pogramming? :P PROGRAMMING.
Typefaces were originally cast in metal. Ergo Foundry.
Already implemented:Level 70 Etc.

Whats with the hostility? I don't get it, I own macs and PCs, and use them for different things. Being a hater is no better then a fanboi :P
Flickr keeps the originals (you can view the original image if you're the one who uploaded it and have a paying account).

add the caps. Dell Battery Program?
Curious, I wonder if this exploit would also affect a jailbroken/"hacked" iPod Touch? Since they're running similar software, I would guess so.

FTP Dead? Riiight. Just like BSD.
So that brings the total to $699 then. Hot Diggity.
Hate to break it to you, but Dubya is a conservative. he'd be a NeoCon then.
A THIRD WORLD country!? Jeeze, you could live off half that in canada... hey.. wait a minute..

I dont think this'll go over well, as there are SOME legal uses for MP3s.
I'd just like to mention that isnt the "threat" of WMD in Iraq the reason they went in there in the first place?
