Last night I was watching an anime with the same type "tool" in it. Of course its inevitable for life to imitate art...Next come the mechs.. ultimate gaming
I have had trouble with both mapquest and yahoo maps. After several times of getting lost, I gave up on them both. I personally like Microsoft Streets and Trips (I know, I'm supporting the evil empire) but with the rebates it turns out to be free. Aside from the fact that my street isn't even on their map, and I've lived here for 2 years, its never gotten me lost before. Mapquest and Yahoo maps have both misled me when I was going within a city. They were off, really off, like driving into a condemned old factory off. For long road trips however, I haven't had a problem with them.
I have received many emails telling me that I can buy adobe's photoshop 7.0 for just $49.95. Its a real bargain! In fact, one of my coworkers got this email, forwarded it to my boss (both are idiots btw) and got the corporate credit card number to go ahead and purchase the 'email only' photoshop for $49.95. These deals will always be around. They're totally legit, right?
They haven't come out with any good games for the xbox lately, here's something useful to do with it. I wouldn't mind a cluster of xboxes:) If only microsoft would cooperate a little more with it, we'll get around their digital signatures, its only a matter of time.
I bought my ps2 I dunno, 3 years ago for $300. Sure its a lot of money compared to buying one for $99 now. But I've had 3 years of playing cool games and I don't feel screwed. Being leet always costs a little more...
Its yet another study to tell us what we already know. Ok captiain obvious, spend time and money researching NEW ideas that might actually do society some good.
The only benefit to this study is maybe I can show it to my boss and convince her to let me have another monitor...but I know that won't happen.
The list went into effect Oct 1, the following Sunday I received a call telling me I could win some wonderful vacation... so far I'm impressed with the results of this list.
I gave up on them when they accidentally "leaked" my credit card number out and I got a call from my credit card company saying that I was over my limit, on a card I rarely used. They've been a little off for a while.
I am witness to all the joys of children each day as a teacher at a private elementary school. Being that is is private and therefore "special" the parents are involved in every aspect of the school. Its their right since the pay for it. You have no idea what a pain that statement is. I can tell you for a fact that most parents would NOT allow their Kindergartener to participate in this, they wouldn't want other people watching their children like that. I manage the websites for each of our schools and have more trouble with posting pictures that the children drew, without names and photographs, than what would be considered reasonable. These parents think everyone is out to steal their children, they aren't going to let their child add data for hundreds or thousands to analyze unless it was extremely annonymous. And even then I would doubt they would agree.
