the games section of their site shows a model with games from an old system (x86 in the example) to a new game system (ppc in the example). x86 to ppc could only be for xbox, the gamecube is ppc already and the ps2 (im pretty sure) is not x86.
Checkout the preview for Tiger. Looks like they're gonna build support for hardware image processing into all their apps. A good graphics card and a little openGL could go a long way with those 6+MP photos.
When you send someone an email, its no longer your right to control who sees it. If you send me an email, there is nothing stopping me from reading it aloud to friends, posting it on my website, or handing it over to a third party. If that bothers you, dont email me.
In my opinion, this is an exciting article, not because of the robot's capabilities, but because of its price tag. This is bringing some pretty sophisticated robotics to a completely different market than the AIBO or QRIO. If these motor skills can really be done at such a price, there's no reason why we shouldnt see pretty dramatic drops in the prices of the more expensive tech toys.
I bought a samsonite backpack a couple years ago. I use it daily to carry my large dell Inspiron 8200 everywhere. So far, its performed quite well. Its got a good handle on top, good protection for the device, and comfortable, sturdy straps. It still looks pretty much new, sept for a missing rubber Zipper tab that my ferret chewed off and stole. Overall, i give it two very enthusiastic big toes up.
folgers?! yuban?! i so hope you're kidding.
those "coffees" are not roasted long enough to full exfoliate the beans. Not to mention the sit on a shelf next to forever before they get to your kitchen.
as for your method: paper filters remove the oils from the bean before it ever makes it to your cup. bad. also, exposing the beans to the coffee for a longer time is bad. the best way to extract the flavor is to use HOT water and pressre to quickly push the water through the beans. that way, you get the flavor without the sour/bitter taste.
i dunno about a pinch of salt, imma have to try that, but it sounds iffy.
If you signup for an account at audible.com, they offer $100 off a few mp3s/pdas including the iPod. The catch? You've got to get a one year subscription, which will run you $180-240. I guess if you listen to audio books, its worthwhile. Any thoughts?
I totally agree. Its always nice to see someone win a lawsuit against MS. And it is still nicer to see MS, the W3C, and Macromedia cooperating. But this is totally going to blow for the web development community as a whole. Especially those that use Java and Flash. Something needs to be done about our patenting system.
consider that 1/3 =.333..., and that 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1.
Sir, I think you've just breached the limit of human understanding. This kind of computation is only as accurate as your calculator. Sadly, my abacus doesn't do fractions.

In many of those apps, you can setup a trusted and public networks via ip, and port. The simplest solution is to give the application access to a defined trusted network only. That way it can't "phone home", but you can still upload pictures of your dog/girlfriend/grandmother to your website.

well, if it wasn't HD, you could. The entire trilogy might just fit on one 50GB disk at the current release resolution.
here and i thought they only sold McBrides in third world countries.

Sure BPL might disrupt HAM signals, but wouldn't the disruption stop when the earthquake or what not wipes out the power, thus disabling BPL?
