For those who love to rag on Sony, note that the gyro controller isn't a new idea. Did Pelican see what Nintendo was going to do with the Wii in '06 and come up with this?

I'll admit that the Wii controller helped Sony along, but geez people. Go hump a GameCube or something!
Tell me about it. This show is one of the biggest pieces of shit I've ever seen (as is most 'Sci-Fi' on the Sci-Fi channel). It's selection is very telling about the competition it has.
My wife and I watch very little television anymore because it's rapidly losing it's appeal as a form of entertainment. The television and film mediums have really got to get out of the sequelitis hole they've dug themselves - it's kicking their ass. Everything's either a rehash, a 'reimagined' approach to an old series, or a knockoff on someone else's successful idea.
You're referring to (and linked to) an entirely different piece of hardware - the PSP2TV. The PSP2TV does require some modification, the new piece of hardware (PSP to TV Adapter) mentioned in this slashdot post does not.
You might want to research what you're referring to next time before you go grab an unrelated article and deem it related.
On the bright side, has anyone noticed that since the hard drive is removable, when it does go out (and it will), all you need to do as Joe Blow average consumer is go buy a replacement drive for it?
The hard drive and the dvd drive are the two most likely pieces to fail in the console. At least you won't be screwed when the hard drive craps out as in the original XBOX model.
Notice that I'm talking about Joe Blow here - not you hot rod modders.
If that's true, I promise you that the PS3 will lose first place in the next-gen console war.
The Playstation brand had made it as far as it has because the system has been relatively accessible AND affordable. Does anyone really expect the average joe (or jane) to pay $150 more than the price of the (probably good enough) 360? Parents (and a lot of gamers like me) are going to barf at an almost $500 price tag.
This would be a stupendously dumb move on Sony's part.
Outlander for the Genesis is *way* better with an inside-the-car view. The SNES version was viewed from behind the car, so you couldn't see as well.
Also, with the Genesis version, you could actually see the blower poking out of the hood when you'd progressed far enough to get it, which makes it the single best video game of all time : )

Jesus fucking christ people, look at the filing date. The article is written for sensationalism alone.
See rpm2tgz or alien. I'd much rather see the project spend the time & effort pursuing compatability rather than make more packages...

Now that's a product idea only a dumbass could come up with...
Check out Outlander for the Genesis and SNES. Both of those are Road Warrior in spirit, if not name.
