I loath RP with a passion. I won't even install it on my work PC. Damn, I won't even install it on my bosses PC and I loath her too!
It would be nice to view BBC news and archive material without installing pesky spyware.
Nice one BBC.
Indeed. But it would be a private act - the exact opposite of stringing up tasteless Xmas lights and publicising the fact on a website.
This sort of behaviour serves a similar function to a tatoo. You know what kind of person you a dealing with without the having to speak to them.
While Walmart customers trample over each other for $30 DVD players the issue of human rights in China rears it's ugly head.
Don't worry, Bush is backing the Walmart consumer. Phew!
Chinese miners linked the East and West coast railroads of the USA.
I reckon volunteer Chinese miners will be digging out shielded living spaces on the moon while state funded labs in Tokyo, Brussels and Houston are still pondering the problems of remote controlled lunar digging robots.
But it could be a problem for lunar colonies. A one week cruise to the moon and back might be represent an acceptable risk for career astronauts. Builders and miners spending months on the Martian surface would probably like to see the tools and procedures proven where there is at least some hope of recovery to Earth.
Having tried most of the 'consumer friendly' desktops (Bluecurve, Mandrake Galaxy, etc.) I'd have to say that Ximian Desktop wins hands down.
I have a horrible feeling that it's going to get lost in Novell's 'any platform, any architecture' dogma. The best loking, most usable Linux desktop is likely to disappear into product that will only be bought by a handful of mid-size academic institutions.
If Novell have no future plans for Ximian desktop they should give it their blessing and release it back into the wild.
There seems to be a new wave of two stroke scooters that must be the noisiest bastards ever made. Is it beyond the wit of man to build a quiet 2 stroke engine?
I recently purchased a NEC 1000 for 55 and it works fine. It's DVD+ only but so what. The blanks are about 80p each if you buy online and they work perfectly in my low-end Philips player.
Can't fault it at that price.
Ideally, you'd want to millions of Joules per second into the target.

If this proved to a problem they could always slow down a bit in the final phase of the attack.
You've probably left it too late for a Xmas present. Particularly if you want it shipped from China.

Nissan mini-cabs driven by illegal immigrants. They go exactly where you want and don't need any subsidies. What's wrong with that?

Strange prioties, IMO. Calendar publishing worth less than GAIM integration?
If publishers offered texts as $1 pdfs then there would be no stopping the uptake of laptops in education.
I'm guessing that Al Queda doesn't buy plutonium or nerve gas precursors at Walmart. I really don't see how this helps the war on terror(ism).
