  1. Hear them laughing? on Is The U.S. Becoming Anti-Science? · · Score: 1

Some day in the future when we hear the laughter from other nations as they surpass us in technology, and we have nothing economically to offer the world. We might wake up from this regression into the new dark ages these religidiot neocons are sinking us into and take charge of our country back.

  2. Let's start with four. on Evidence of 6 Dimensions or More? · · Score: 1

Most people can't even agree that the everyday world we live in exists in four deminsions and not three. If there were only three we would not be able to even conceive of the three, for without the fourth deminsion of time, consience could not exist, and there would be no perception of the world around us. So, it's simple to say that we owe our very existance two the four demensions: 1)Longitude 2)Latitude 3)Elevation 4)Time

There are different levels of prisons for different levels of crimes. His crime is considered white collar and he will be sent to a prison camp or honor farm. Most likely it won't even have a fence, but he will not have his freedom. He will have a lot of rules to live by or he will be sent to the next level of security. That is what keeps an honor farm in order, the knowledge that it can get much worse very easily.

As far as his length of sentense, I think that he is getting off exceptionally light. I used to work in a prison, and I've seen people in prison for crimes that effected FAR fewer people. Like someone who gets 3 years for possesion of drugs "not for sale" federal on property. This guy did something that effects everyone "corporate and personal alike" and costs our economy billions of dollars, and our internet terabytes of bandwidth every year.

15 years does not send the message to these people "this kind of behavior is unaceptable". The Judge should be ashamed for giving such a wussy sentence.

It's not that people don't have the right to freedom of speech, But who says you have the right to anonymity when exercising that right?
When you exercise your freedom of speech and make a public statement that could be considered a threat, it's a thin line between protected speech and a public danger. The problem is, who draws the line? Unfortunatly the Patriot Act has given the government unholy powers over private citizens and their liberty. On the other hand, anyone willing to make a statement that draws the attention of such an investigation, perhapse should be investigated.

That is a great idea! Don't forget that it has to be filmed and should be made the closing shot of every episode after the credits.
