You'd need all the major carriers to agree on ONE standard of transmission, and there's no way the GSM providers are all going to convert to CDMA, and vice versa.
Standardization would be wonderful...but will it happen?

Very few CDMA phones have bluetooth.
The 2 major manufacturers of Bluetooth phones (Sony Ericsson and Nokia) are known for their manufacturing of primarily GSM phones.
So no...the Verizon PTT's will not have bluetooth.
In other words, this suit against IBM and the attempted takedown of linux was the SUIT'S way of making money off their already dying company.

I've always looked for performance over name brand, and if this chip can do what the article says it can do...it could give Intel a run for it's money in the portable marketplace.
You can get lossless FLACs of many of their albums.

...since Verizon's just using Voice over IP, these phones will not be subject to the nasty "nextel effect"
