heh, great reference:) (his art is simply astounding)
just as a tip, it might discourage people from being insulting if you handled their banter more gracefully. i'm sure you can think of something less confrontational than calling them retards;) childish is more accurate anyway. but try to get away from that whole idea, maybe more towards something about your workout program... that has the effect of showing people that you're trying to cut down on weight, that you're strong, and both without being demeaning. maybe even work in a nerdy reference; i know you can come up with a good way to handle this.
if you get caught cheating (i think it has to be twice though), it goes on your permanent transcript, and some colleges won't accept you. although, i'm sure if you explain it and show that you've changed things will go pretty smoothly.
let's give it up for zero tolerance
the policies at the high school i attend (current theme seems to be that the administration goes on about all the crap they have to put up with from us kids as justification for another rule, which generally applies to too broad a group), the boring "clubs", the somewhat rigid band program, and the overall lack of intellectual stimuli (except for higher math courses & chem) are all reasons i just sort of coast through school and do more interesting things on my own time. school (beyond getting into college) really isn't worth much of a bother to me. i do more interesting and immediately useful things on my own time. that is, of course, when i'm not posting on slashdot:)
not quite. i was trying a new thing, you know, just to see how well it works. instead of going through all the trouble of spreading disinformation or saying something controversial, i decided to simply cut to the point and spare everyone the bother of getting ruffled up over something that really doesn't matter in the first place.
apparently my new idea only served its intended purpose in the first two replies and not the third. oh well, i'm satisfied with two out of three:)
they can like to all they want, but that usually prevents such people from actually dealing with jerks and the like. i've seen it on a forum; they had this section for people to just post whatever they felt like and very few rules, but they took down that section (probably got too out of hand). all of a sudden the number of locked topics in the general chat went up. when i asked about it, they're all like "can't this be the one place on the internet with no idiots?" as a rationalization for not putting back up the free-for-all section.
eventually they did put it back up, but man is that some bad reasoning. (in case you were wondering, i never posted in that section; seeing a lot of locked topics disturbs me)
"They contribute to GCC" fastest way to get optimizations and support for their platform
"based, in part, on BSD-licensed sources, so there was no requirement that they remain open-source." i'm fairly certain they don't publish their kernel modifications
mac users aren't all that big into numbers (besides maybe the less specific ones), and they're also very loyal to the mac platform. arguing with a mac user (in general) and only using numbers will get you nowhere.
are all of those things still functional?
how about braille on the keys themselves? blind people would be able to learn the keys more easily.
no problem, thank you for considering it :)

well at least it didn't crash into anyone's house. ...
right?

how very kind of you :)
indeed it would be neat. does CNN's do that? i can't seem to find it...
please reply.
large bundles of neatly organized cable... ohh man.

part of it, yeah.
and i'm guessing the other fellow isn't in that category, strangely enough
then i'm glad we're all in agreement ;)
"ad nauseatingly"
:)
that deserves to be used more often. thank you sir for a wonderful phrase
someone did that comparison, linked here
maybe he meant theoretical physics
"That's just stupid, and shows an incredibly unscientific mindset."
does it interest anyone else that people group stupid with unscientific?
"They contribute to GCC"

but is it resource intensive?
try improvising a duct system to reduce the necessary number of fans but still keep a good airflow pattern. it worked for me
"just don't get it"
is anyone else horribly annoyed by this phrase?
does anyone honestly believe that?
