The storm surge entering Manhattan was caused by the elimination of buffer coast line which prevents water from coming in. Think about marshlands, etc. Once you get rid of those, nothing is going to stop the water. Climate change in this case isn't going to make a difference.

If there is anyone I trust, it is audiophiles from the Internet. They are the ones that prompted me to buy the $10,000 gold plated cables to hook my gear together. My music has never sounded better!

  4. Er, it isn't just "their domains". Their trackers exist on most websites on the Internet. Did you know this very website has a tracker for Microsoft embedded in it? Who knows what the other trackers on this website are for.

  5. Facebook uses ETag and browser fingerprinting (they probably have additional). They are an advertising company so they have entire divisions dedicated to this.

  6. No. Think about every website that has Facebook integration (most popular ones). Even Slashdot tracks you for Microsoft's purposes. They probably have a Facebook tracker as well in one of the third party trackers.

  7. No, that is not how "they" do it.

Um, having users is Facebook's entire business model. They aren't going to risk losing users by pulling out of any country. They will bend over backward to accommodate governments if they can get into a country.

  9. Everyone assured me since Gchat was using SSL that no one could read the messages! What a joke.

  10. Aww that is adorable if you really believe that!

  11. Are there browser plugins that send false information? That would be interesting.

  12. It does. You don't need JavaScript to do tracking. Wow.

  13. That will help. I would recommend Ghostery as well. This very website has at least 8 active trackers.

  14. They don't need you to have an account with them in order to track you. They create a shadow profile for you and log your movement across the web using their various web properties and associated sites.

It wasn't appropriate at all. What does me telling a company who just took an equity position at a company with a toxic environment have to do with MY assets? I didn't take an equity position in Uber. Idiotic.

No one in 2018 uses sexuality for personal gain. That would be exploitation and no modern company would support exploitation of their customers and content creators.
