no need to go that far. In the privacy settings of firefox change the "Keep Until" option for cookies to "Until i close firefox" and all the cookies will be cleared as soon as you close the browser.

the nice thing about it is you can override it for specific sites through the exceptions button and allow selected sites to keep the cookie permanantly. i do this for slashdot and a few selected sites where i need to preserve my login.

Since the cookies.txt now only contain cookies of important sites i'm thinking of putting my cookies into a SVN repository so i can synchronise them between computers.

Simplicity. Most console UI's are simple. unlike web/GUIs the console UIs are simple and restrictive which means the users have little choice and there is consistant way of doing something. you don't have to worry about what will happen if the user tries to select a different window and stuff. This type of environment is very very usefull for data entry and similar environments.

It's ok if people ask for the cash difference the main point of the story is that people seem to prefer having a Wii to a PS3. and this is bad for Sony since if most people regret buying a PS3 and pass on the message to their friends it might tip a few buying decision to the favour of Wii.

on the other hand 70 or so trades out of (i assume) thousands of PS3 sales wouldnt really make much of a difference.

true enough and usually you don't even need to change the font since most clients show plain text with courier.

however there are status and summary messages sent by the system which is preferable to be read without going into excel or third party app. of course if you have a large amount of tabular data it's much better to generate a CSV formatted attachment which is more convenient. but for a relatively little amount of data which needs to be looked at quickly html tables are the best.

This is very true. I my self personally prefer plain text mail except when using outlook at the office where i use the default html or richtext.

however when developing i do sometimes use html because it makes reading tabular data and such much easier to read at a glance. true you could use plain text for these but with lots of information it makes it difficult to quickly extract the information you need.
