    Not true. I think that might have been the original idea, but Loyola College in Maryland (my alma mater) offers up to PHD in some discplines. AFAIK, "College" in Canada (the one place I _know_ that uses this distinction) is roughly equivalent to what a "Community College" or a "Junior College" is in the States.

    In my 10+ years of experience, those hours are not that crazy at all. I don't do them as much any more, but I had plenty of 60+ hours is a normal (light) crunch time. Heck, some of my normal weeks turn out to be 60+ hours. I've definitely hit over 100 hours on more than one occasion too..

    Is it me, or are these numbers just not that big of a deal?

    I don't believe that this is what he intended to say when he talked about translating it. But, even so, what is "transmission" but a way to take some information from one place to another. So, if you carry that piece of paper anywhere, maybe you're still rebroadcasting... Heck... you are rebroadcasting it if you write down the translation in English... the medium? Your pen....

    if you are on the internet, then id say your chances of being out of range of any kind of cable provider are slim to none.

    I have internet access (dialup from home). Some people only have it at work. I do not have cable access. I must use Satellite TV to get anything. I don't understand why you think that Internet access and cable access always go together. Everyone with a phone can have internet access....

    My problem, actually, is less where to buy something than how I need to set up everything, because I'm going through trees. I don't want to buy something worth $200 and then have it not work. I need someone to do a site survey at my house to determine what will actually work (well).

    Yeah... that kinda stuff pisses me off!

    I spent all day wrapping up some fresh salmon in aluminum foil and cooking it on my engine block..

    After replacing the first two fish (fell inside the engine) and getting the engine steam cleaned, I realized that it's MUCH cheaper just to put the fish on the grill, or even use OVEN, believe it or not!

    WTF!? Yeah, a PC is probably better than a GAME CONSOLE, you moron! This article was a REALLY weak attempt to bash Microsoft.

    Unfortunately, there really isn't any evidence against ET visiting us.

    This is kind of backwards. In most cases, the burden of proof is on the person making the somewhat outlandish claim. For instance: If I say that I have a purple elephant living in my colon, you would say "No way! Prove it!" (that and "Ouch!"). If I replied with "Prove that I don't!", you'd call me an idiot.


    And, if you are enough of a doubter, it is impossible to prove anything except your own existance (just ask Descartes...)

    I have asked this before, with no solid results...


    I have two buildings I'm trying to bridge...
    I have 2 WAP11 v2.2 units... tried to bridge them
    THey houses are about 400 feet apart... there is a row of trees in between.

    What are the odds that I can get that to connect without trenching fiber? Hopefully some wireless guru can help me

    I would like to see *all* products analyzed like this. A producer would be required to put a sort-of "nutirition-information-style" label on all its products detaililng the environmental impact of its manufacture.
