Insightful? You could do everything you stated in a mini-van with less than 300 HP but I'm sure that would dent your image so you drive a 3 ton SUV instead.... by yourself for 95% of the time probably.
I'm soooo tired of people rationalizing "I wanna SUV" with "I take 5 people with me and I'm 6'2". I'm 6'2" and can take 4 people in my audi A4 just fine.
The form factor is pretty attractive if you use the iPod as a palm replacement as well for calendar and contacts. Not that the original is huge but basic palm functionality and hundreds of songs would justify the price for me.
And destroy all the free publicity/advertising that is generated? All the endless rumor debating makes people actually notice apple announcements and it's all free!
