    Could this be becuase ATI might be falling behind nVIDIA technologically, rather than the AMD purchase of ATI? They might feel they don't have so much IP to protect any more. Just guessing.

    So when we see the warranty on those disk, it won't be 1 year, it'll be 8760 hours. I mean, talk about throw-away society. These things would come with probably extremely toxic non-refillable containers that are guaranteed to be emptied out at the most inopportune moment.

    Just how far are you allowed to take your definition of "damage he caused"? Maybe he planted a poison tablet in the water system! Bill him for dismatling and rebuilding IBM headquarters! Maybe he spread lies about the management! Bill him for extensive brainwashing of all the staff!

    Swedish Army sniper qualifications (concealment). Range is usually short, 100-200m, hiding within a limited sector (usually 50-100m wide). The observers have high power binoculars. The sniper must be able to remain undetected throughout the following. He is not allowed to move to another location during the trial.

    The observers try to spot the sniper
    When commanded, the sniper fires one shot.
    When commanded, the sniper fires a second shot.
    One observer moves within talking distance of the sniper, the rest try to spot.
    The close observer points to the sniper (talks to him to locate him first), rest try to spot.
    Close observer moves so he's standing beside the sniper, and rests his hand on top of the snipers head. Rest try to spot.

    If the sniper still isn't detectable, he's passed the concealment exercise.

    I don't think previous experience with electronics is relevant here. If there is an effect, I don't think it's related to microwaves heating the body - it'll be something much more subtle. Something that neither you nor I can presently know - only wildy speculate.


    Unforunately, it'll take millions of people hurt before we'll see what it is, and probably several millions more before the cell phone companies acknowledge it.


    You know smoking wasn't harmful for a long, long time. This may be just like that. Only worse, because our children run around with their phones pretty much taped to their heads all day.

    Assume your laptop has 4000 mAh (or 4 Ah). Triple that is 12 Ah. If my old memory serves, recharging 12Ah in 5 minutes would then require 144 ampere.

    They should add a warning label: "May require personal nuclear reactor, shrapnel shields and additional fire insurance payments."

    Well, I wasn't stating an opinion to him, but stating a fact. Since then, the affected MTAs have worked around the OpenBSD quirk.

    Well, slamming de Raadt isn't really uncalled for. The man, while competent and productive, probably suffers from some kind of social disorder or two. I once got "flamed off the 'net" by him for politely pointing out an incompatibility between OpenBSD and a few well known MTA's.

    This little kit automatically will Make The Halo 2 DVD9 into a DVD5. all you do is extract all the files to where you have diff-hl2.iso and then click halo2dvd5.bat - it will unpack the ISO, Remove 1 movie [attractions] and Repack it to make it a DVD5..it also removes dashupdate.xbe.

    then simply burn Halo2_DVD5.iso!

    the next question, why? Because im sure some credit whoring group would come along, and release a Rip of it calling it a DVD5..

    so why let some credit whores release another 4.3gb, when ive done whats needed in 30kb? =)

    make sure you have a bit of free drive space, it needs a temp dir [which it removes afterwards] to do its work.

    Yeah, the disparity between how Bush will handle an interview on-screen (when he's not being given all the answers beforehand) and the text of those answers says it all. To be fair, I'm sure he was at least consulted about what his stance should be. All the Bush answers say "my adminstration" and use complex sentences like we've never heard him say. Kerry's answers are more like how he talks, and they're all "I think, I believe", making it sound like he actually took time to write the answers himself.
