On the weekend I was playing in a rather large Ultimate Frisbee tournament (high amounts of physical activity). Myself and several of my team mates went almost 50 hours with short naps and consuming large quantities of alcohol. In that time we played 5 games on Saturday (9am - 5pm), and 4 on Sunday (9am-3:30pm).

Now, by the end of it I may have wished I was dead, but it didn't kill me - soo I'm guessing this guy had other problems.

I'm not sure what took them so long - I was hired on to help move everything over to .Net and to rebuild the management web interface. I fell in love with .Net doing it - I only wish my efforts to ensure mono compatibility, and market it as cross platform yielded better results.

My old employer makes a software product which has 4 parts:

    Management Software running on Windows
Web version of the management software
End user/client software on Windows, and PDAs
End user/client software in a web browser, and WAP

They moved to .Net so the business logic code could be shared between all 4-5 of their applications. Before that any time there was a change in how the software worked it had to be changed across all products, which greatly increased the chances of adding bugs, took more time, etc.

The .Net code meta tags, and application assembly also helped greatly in creating an easy to use AJAX framework.

It's my understanding it's more or less a SSN+Birth Certificate, and access to it can only be demanded by a law official with good reason. (Not sure how this will effect them using it for online age verification)

It replaced the Resident ID card, and extended the min. age to 16 - with this change laws were passed to further protect the rights of citizens privacy and restrict 3rd party access to the information on the card.

So it's basically the same unified national ID card Europe, Canada, and the US will have in the next year or 2.

You know Communists aren't just out to ruin every body's fun. My guess is the reason they don't ban all games is because it provides entertainment and leisure for their population (and takes up little space), plus there really isn't a good reason to.

I might not totally agree with the reasoning for banning PK games, BUT that doesn't mean I'm right - I do understand the logic behind it.

I can say with almost 100% certainty Square-Enix will not have dedicated servers for Xbox users. They'll let their automated system for spreading out the new users do it's thing and if certain servers become over loaded they will offer a migration.

This is how they handled it for the US PC launch, US PS2 launch, and EU launch.
