Please, provide an example of a present or historical governmental system that doesn't use force or threat of force to keep polar extremists under control. You example may be true, but it is true under any system of government.

Britney Spears is starving to death because of these damned immoral Russians!

I can't believe Slashdotters support this. How many amazing talents (Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Eminem; to name a few) do we have to lose to malnutrition before Americans wake up and realize piracy is not right, and it hurts real people?

Animal Crossing was instrumental in converting my girlfriend. From the Sims, to Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. After that stage in conversion, a group of her friends and her became quite the Diablo 2 addicts for a while. And I've taught herd a little Starcraft.

I'm still waiting for the right time to try out FPS games. World of Warcraft may give me an avenue of attack.

It's been nearly 3 years, and was at least one before even the first step was made. But today she spends almost as much time gaming as I do (though admittedly with different preferred genres and with less passion for gaming). It's definitely fun to have a girlfriend who can share your favorite hobby. :)

It's Gaming Evangelism folks. Convert someone today!

Yes, because as the television told me to think, every soldier is a hero. *rolls eyes* You get the world's most advanced weaponry, paid for by we, the "What-have-you-done?" people. There are plenty of great people in the Armed Forces, and I have several friends there. So, I don't want to bash everyone in it. Just people like you who think they are heroes just because their wages paid are by tax payers, they carry a big gun, and accept orders without question. You are aware that a national military is a socialist system, right? Last I knew you were employed by the government, and I can't buy stock in US Army.

You're not much of a gamer, are you?

"Is story important in RTS games?" Yes. Duh? What would Blizzard's RTSes be without a unique story? Lame Tolkien-esque, D&D knock-offs. Story is essential to any decent, single-player RTS.

Adventure games without a story? Come on.

You use ridiculous genres, puzzle games and sports games? No shit there isn't much of a story. That's like pointing out China and Soviet Russia, then claiming 90% of humanity is comprised of non-English speaking communists.

Your example games make it even more evident how out-of-touch you are with modern gaming. Chess and Tetris? What the hell? Do you think they are the paramount of gaming? Are you 50? Why are you even reading Slashdot Games?

There's this new thing called the "Super Nintendo" that just came out. You should try it dude.
