That's the entire point, there is no tank on this unit. Water is heated as it flows through. Try doing that with resistor based elements and you'll get slightly above room temperature water at best. Microwaves are perfect for this since they hit the resonance frequency of water, heating them very quickly with minimal energy.

Although it might be a surprise to you, it is my sincere pleasure to intimate you with this confidential business proposal, which will certainly benefit all of us involved.

I am a senior software developer with the Nigerian National Software Developers Association Headquarters, Lagos. I have decided with some colleagues in the Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN] and The Federal Ministry of Finance to contact you secretly on this business for the arrangement of transferring 37.5M [Thirty Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand] jobs to our country.

However, concrete arrangement has been made to remit the jobs successfully to our country.

Being Government officials, we are prevented by the Law from screwing fat lazy Americans out of jobs while still in the Government service, hence the need for your assistance.

Please, let me know your position by fax through my Tel/fax number above as soon as this gets to you also include your direct Tel/fax number and e-mail address for easy communication. Details are reserved until we hear from you.

    Yours Sincerely,

Ok, I have mod points and I have to comment on this. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the OpenBSD team does not do anything at the whim of the bitching masses. Did you not read the recent mailing list thread about the decision to stop updating Apache in the ports tree??? And what about when they removed ipf???

Theo may be a hard headed son of a bitch but he takes care of buisness and is not swayed by popular opinion. This is not a sudden development, there were articles a year ago about how the OpenBSD team was looking for a full time programmer to work on SMP.

This has been planned, and when OpenBSD executes a plan they execute it well.

I can tell you, pf/ipf syntax is so easy when compared to iptables. And pf takes ipf even further by adding shortcuts to common tasks. For example, rather than setting up block rules to stop spoofing, you just do "antispoof for interface" and you're done :)

I love OpenBSD for firewall/vpn duties... now if they'd just hurry the hell up and implement NAT-t for isakmpd i'd be a happy camper...

A global pool of programmers is less than a single company of even thousands of employees? I think your math needs a little work, or this is a classic FUD attack. MS can throw more programmers at a problem than the rest of the world and do it better to boot? I think not. MS has its advantages (many of which have been run down ad nauseum in this thread), but Linux has many of its own. If Linux continues to grow, and if developers open up their minds to the possibilities Linux (or BSD too... I love BSD as much as Linux) than those advantages will disappear one by one. Will Linux ever be as successful at winning the hearts and minds of users? I don't know, but it is possible and I love that possibility.
