A decade ago Sony release the PSPGo which was an all digital download handheld gaming device. The blowback from the Japanese retail gaming shops was massive enough for them to threaten Sony to never do this again or they would refuse to support any Sony console in their stores.
Since Microsoft is going to go this route itâ(TM)s safe to say that the Xbox will be dead in Japan if it isnâ(TM)t already. The Japanese domestic market is extremely loyal to their Japanese companies, and an all digital Xbox will be the final nail in the coffin.
I remember managing to finish all 9 levels of the game back in the day in a single sitting. I do recall that you have to map out your path to the bottom of the pyramid, so essentially thereâ(TM)s a lot of exploration involved... however, past level 3 the map remains largely unchained and instead the lower levels go dark requiring a torch. At this point thereâ(TM)s rote memorization of the platforms that needs to happen because you canâ(TM)t see them before finding the torch... especially one of the rooms that has the torch because it is a nightmare.
I figure that as long as the AI is good at exploring and mapping, it will have no issues remembering when and where to jump, even as it canâ(TM)t see the floor in the later levels.
Iâ(TM)ve hacked a few Epsons with Rihac inklink inkwells.
Some people do a fairly heavy amount of printing and generally speaking these units hack the printer into thinking that the inkwell system is a legitimate set of ink cartridges.
Refill the inkwells when needed and keep printing.
We know all the brands try to prevent third party cartridges. HP being the worst. Never update the firmware on your printer! So called security updates just try to block the hacks.
I used to visit Facebook to catch up with what friends are doing and to see what events were in my area.
Once Facebook went IPO it opened the floodgates on political garbage and commercial spam to the point which diminished what it used to be and what attracted people to it in the first place.
Clearing out all the political garbage and sorting out their privacy and scam issues needs to be at the fore to fix their issues.
On the one hand people may say âoecensorshipâ, but on the other hand a line needs to be drawn to kick people out who pee in the pool at the pool party. Facebook needs to go further and purge ALL the garbage that ruins the experience IMHO.

These are the sorts of things that parents want control over (until little Johnny gets savvy and decides to explore the mac recovery partition because nobody's put in a firmware password) The thing is, most parents don't know about these features - much less make use of them. It's easy to implement - when you know about them. The issue is that nobody knows, and don't have time/inclination to learn
The iPhone has none of the parental controls - and if they ARE there and I'm actually mistaken - I can't easily find them. Honestly - it makes a lot of sense that Apple should put these features into the iPhone for worried parents. They want their kids to be contactable with their phones, but not using them every hour of the day.
For example, Apple could make it so the parent's iCloud account can lock the phone down before giving it to their kid. Apple could put a time lock on the smartphone features, and only enable phone calls from people known in the contacts list - or only accept calls from parents when it's out of hours. That's in addition to the website and application locking you see on MacOS.
Data usage limits and application purchases can be managed easily enough.
Banning the tool instead of the crime affects legitimate use of the tool by law-abiding citizens.
The difference with guns - especially the assault types obtainable in the US - is that they have no legitimate use. You would have to define killing other people as legitimate for you to be able to use that argument with guns.

Details of roads change too frequently (by the hour, sometimes) to be reliable.
This is one of the problems of GPS maps. None of them can take construction work and the chance of a possible road-closure and/or detour into consideration, much less deal with the fact that there may be no right/left turn in some intersections at different times of the day.
All this information needs to be updated constantly.
But an educated populace is not what the incumbents want, they like the idea of a populace that believes whatever propaganda they read, what they don't like is for anyone else to have the ability to put propaganda infront of large numbers of people.
An educated, financially independent population with their own ideas and plenty of time to free time to implement them is not what incumbents want, as such people are harder to control.
