No, it's not tied to the SUCCESS of this lawsuit, it is tied to the fact that the company still exists because of the lawsuit. Without the pump and dump from the FUD of the lawsuit the company would have been delisted long ago. They would have reorged and then liquidated at least 2 years ago. They pulled their legal stunt, got some "licenses" sold to MS and a few other players, and then threw some FUD out there. This caused some people to go "Ooh, they have a case", or "oooh, they are manuvering to be bought out" and bought the stock pumping up the price. Look at the SEC filings of who was selling SCOX stock in the early part of 2004. This company has survived as long as it has due to the lawsuit. Without it they would have been long gone by now. The principals of the company can't expect the company to continue, they just have to play through to the end so the SEC investigation can find enough doubt to NOT slap them with charges.

There is nothing but anecdotal evidence that domestic violence went down during prohibition. I have done some limited research on that topic. There are massses of empirical evidence that violent crime arrests and prosecutions went up during prohibition.

I don't remember anyone saying that all of societies problems would go away if drugs were legalized. I don't think anyone is that stupid. You can keep tossing that strawman out if it makes you feel better though.

Ah, so you want to protect the dumb people because you know best? Ah. Ok. I finally see where you are coming from. I assume that whomever does not believe as you believe or see things as you do is by your definition of "lesser intellect". That's a large assumption on my part I know.

You do know that part of the real fascist parties dogma was that the common man was too stupid to rule himself therefore the intelegent ones should lead them and tell them what to do?

The bible is a divinely inspired document that is without error. If it says a day, it means a 24 hour day. The translators that translated it from Hebrew and Aramaic to Greek and then to Latin were inspired and guided by the hand of god. Over time lies and heresies crept into the bible due to the nature of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church turning from god and worshiping Mary and the saints. The translation from Latin to English by the commission set up by King James was especially inspired and removed the lies that had made their way into the bible. All other translations are wrong. So sayeth the nut that has a cube down the aisle from me.

Have you ever done any research on vote buying and vote extortion in the 1920's and 30's? I'm guessing not. How about the political machines of the 19th and earlier 20th centuries. I have and that is how I can claim those things would happen, because they have happened. We are no more enlightened now than then. I also stated that if by some miracle those atrocities didn't come to pass I guarantee that people would be ridiculed for their beliefs in your system because people who simply tell people they voted a certain way are held up to ridicule now and your system would open up everyone to that not just those who wish to voluntarily do so. Also what you propose opens up the field of vote selling beyond any political bosses wildest dream, but I'm assuming that you are good with vote selling.

As to a live stream you obviously haven't watched a baseball game lately. They constantly edit the feeds to insert advertisements in place of existing one on the backstops and field boards and edit out or change the crowd sounds that are transmitted. I assume you will claim that that could be addressed, and it can, but no easier than it would be to fix the anonymous voting systems.

There are ways that keep anonymity and accountability to a higher standard than what is used today. They are both requirements for good elections.

Oh my. You get funnier everytime I read your little rant. So, which personal responsibility takes precident? Keeping your job so your family can eat, not being beaten/killed by the enforcers outside the polling place so your family doesn't have to suffer, selling your vote to the highest bidder so you can make a quick buck, or being a good citizen who votes their conscience and suffers for it because they hold beliefs that are unpopular even if the other extreme examples would never come to pass? Transparent voting is orders of magnitude worse than existing voter fraud due to its nature. Besides, even if people vote on video tape as you suggest I guess you never heard of the cutting room floor have you? Your method can be rigged too and exposes people to danger and ridicule. Whoo Hoo way to go!

I don't want to give the minority the majority rule. I don't want to give anyone the "rule" as you put it. You make generalities and then try and extrapolate specifics. There is no simple single "majority of people". If there was every candidate in every election would win by a landslide. Hell, there would only be one candidate in every race since everyone except some lunatic fringe would agree with that person and the fringe wouldn't be able to get the signatures to get on the ballot. There is no black and white beliefs. There are as many shades of gray as there are people. You are expressing your opinion when you say all of those things about what people believe, and I bet you know the old saying about opinions.
