School network admins, from My experience, at least in High school, have ego problems. The refused to even acknowlage that there might be something wrong with their system, even though we could see it clearly. We wanted to help them, and they threatened to suspend us.
I came from a high school where they dont' know anything about the geek students. Sometimes the administrators are so out of sync with what students want/do, it is useless.
the notifier now has an option to choose which browser to open. I have set it to firefox. Windows? Because the mass majority of the people are using windows. Plus, I believe there are many unofficial Linux versions of this. Unofficial Toolbar for Mozilla/firefox.
I personally can not wait until we get off the AIM standard. 90% of my friends use AIM. It is bloated, outdated, and down right obtrusive. If people switch to an open source protocol, I think that companies would make more, even though it means giving up their proprietary protocols. I use Trillian, as I hate how AIM treats me. I do not want bright ads flashing, or a "AOL TODAY" pop up.
Is Jabber the Linux of Instant Messaging? Should it become? Everybody has their own 'distro' but the core is the same...
Well, someone said that all regular HL mods will work in HL2, because the engine is backwards compatible...But i would love to see NS2 on the HL2 engine:). Who knows, Maybe Flayra is working on it as we speak..or type...yea..
Maybe this would be useful to Bars which want to watch a bunch of sports games at once, on a BIG screen TV. They just do split screen, and you can see all of them!
Agreed, they *do* have that, but i have never used it. I was more thinking on the main screen, like a big screen. I know that a gameboy isn't the same feel as a normal gamecube controller. *shrug* I personally don't want to play complicated games with a controller like a gameboy
This may lead to the idea of Picture in Picture for high end game consoles. Wouldn't it be nice to have a bigger, more detailed map on those games like zelda, or have a list of objectives?
Maybe this will lead to lower prices on other handheld systems which would be nice, even if this system becomes a dud:)
I know as a college student that a quiet atmosphere while doing work is valuable. The question for most would be, is it $1,400 worth. I *know* that I could not afford that while trying to pay tuition, renting a house, and feeding myself. Somethings are necessary, and some are just...not.
Now, if someone gave that to me as a gift or something, no way i would complain:)
I currently have a IBM T40, i paid around 3000 for on my own. It came with a dent in the keyboard bezel as they called it, where you rest your hands to type. They replaced it free since it came that way.
I bought a Thinkpad because my best friend had an old one (about 5 years old) and it works like a tank. Same with my teacher from high school. I have always loved the look of a Thinkpad, professional, straight forward, and well designed.
Unfortunatly, the extended care/coverage is not available in CA for individuals, (like dells complete coverage) so i just don't drop my laptop, and i am fine.:)
yea, the connector for the breakout box never seemed to attach securly into the back of the card. I never had the pins bent though, but then I usually don't put it in and out, or move my computer.
The 8500dv at the time was the highest AIW and it had a remote, which was very appealing to a lazy guy like me. And i needed a new video card, so it all came into play for me.
If you have a bunch to spend,go for the 9800 AIW, I hear those work really well.
I have the 8500 DV and i run my gamecube through it. It is not HDtv quality, but it is better then having to fit a tv into my tiny dorm room:)
Plus, it has people turning their heads seeing me play my gamecube on my computer. Of course, the newest ATI Radeon All in wonder probably costs around 400-500 bucks....so go for an older one

How do you think these sounded when they were first pitched in a boardroom? "what the hell is a google?" "Wohoo for yahoo?"
I think we slack off the same amount, but in the time that we are working, we are MORE productive.

Or, If you label something spam, It has the Postmaster return the email just like it would if it didn't exist. Would this work?

and who would use the payment one? I would use the 'evil free' one, no brainer.

Once Email Spam is eliminated, then IM spam will begin...
He expects to catch up with google? this looks more like a huge wish then a prediction
