I found that screen latency was very high, around 0.5s. That was on a gigabit lan. Accessing my own computer over a mobile phone network using Microsoft Remote Desktop for Windows or Mac, or RDesktop for Linux gives me much better performance.

London's bus service is not privatised, unlike the rest of the country.

The bus companies get paid a rate per mile for driving the buses by Transport for London, and all the fare money goes directly to TFL.

Private companies can't run buses in London unless it is long distance routes to other parts of the country, or to another country, such as the ones National Express and all the various Polish bus companies run.

Even worse is the £8 ($16) to go one stop on the Underground.

It is possible that people from lower social classes are more likely to commit crimes, or at any rate, the sort of crimes that get you caught by the police and imprisoned. And it is also possible that black people are more likely to be from lower social classes. Thus it isn't actually a race issue at all.

If you compare the crime profile in London (England) with Glasgow (Scotland) for example, the criminals in London tend to be black, where as the criminals in Glasgow tend to be overwhelmingly white. In both cases, they tend to be unemployed, and have unemployed parents.
