Does anybody remember the post-9/11 homeland security debacle with Tom Ridge reccomending people use duct tape and plastic sheeting [chicagotribune.com] to protect themselves from terrorists.. and then several people dying by asphyxiating themselves in their own homes?
Party Mix, by Starpath, for the Atari 2600 + Starpath Supercharger add-on. Possibly the first party game ever, as well as the first split-screen multiplayer.
Yeah, the graphics are nicer - but that's like putting a Dior suit on a 500 pound human. The colors and style are neat, but what's underneath can't run, can't jump, and one flight of stars will kill them. Oh, and for anyone who wants to criticize me - I'm 6 feet tall, weigh 250 pounds.
I'll criticize you for not using the metric system.
Personally, I think that the term "Personal Computer" is outdated. These days, all major operating systems are multi-user and most (home) computers are used by more than one person, hence the damned thing isn't "personal" anymore. All machines, Wintel, Mactel, Lintel, should simply be named "computer" and that's it.
Personal computers are distinct from supercomputers, mainframes, clusters, workstations, PDAs...

Although I am glad to see a fellow Vietnam veteran, Hegel of Ohio, finally retracted his head out of his butt and is finally seeing the light on the illegitimate and unlawful invasion and occupation of Iraq
And just what is it that makes an invasion "legitimate"? I'll use Ayn Rand's definition: a tyranny is not a legitimate government, thus has no right to sovereignity. This means ANY free nation has the right to invade ANY dictatorship to overthrow its rulers at ANY moment they find convenient.
It was 24 bit as opposed to the Nintendo and the Sega at 16 bits each.
Wrong. It was 16 bit. It used an MC68000 processor (16 bit) and a Z-80 co-processor (8 bit). Just like the Genesis, only with a higher clock. What made it so powerful was the high-end graphics and sound chipsets.
It did have a couple good games, but it was a complete flop. Why? It cost 600 bucks
Worse, a new game could cost $300. Yet I wouldn't call the Neo Geo a flop. It was not popular as a home console, but is possibly the most successful arcade hardware ever!
Apparently people bought, and continue to buy, the Wii, 360, and PS2, just not the PS3 or its sister console, the Dreamcast.
Hey! Don't insult the Dreamcast! Not only it had many more launch titles (18) than the PS3 (5), it had far BETTER ones too... the PS3 has nothing revolutionary like Sonic Adventure and Soul Calibur were back in 99.
They acknowledge Castlevania: Bloodlines as the last TRUE Castlevania. I, for one, regard Symphony of the Night as the beginning of a different series that simply happens to have the same title. (the N64 games and the unfinished Dreamcast game, however, belong in the first series)
But if they re-release that now, will it be censored again?

Go play Myst.
Graphics were an issue back in the "good ol' days", and badmouthing your competition is nothing new. After all, Genesis did what Nintendidn't!
What band is that? The singer is terrible.
Mac OS X V10.0, I mean...
"Sorry, guys, the massive failure of the PS3 drove us bankrupt. We're shutting the company and selling our assets to pay our massive debts. Goodbye."
Come to Norway. It's better than Kenya.

It worked pretty well in Chile. It was on the verge of becoming a second Cuba, it is now among the wealthiest countries in the continent.
What was that joke again... if Commodore made sushi, they'd advertise it as "raw cold fish".

They also did Apocalypse and Spider-Man.
I think that concept would work better as an action game, a la Jet Grind Radio.
