Yes...you are always bad if you are cheating on your spouse to whom you are married. This of course doesn't apply to so-called "open" relationships, where you can have relationships with whomever you want while you are married. Let's look at it this way...marriage is one of two things, either a religious construct going back thousands of years, or a social construct for the purpose of seeing a distinct benefit in being with someone else. In the religious side, adultery is bad. On the social side, if you aren't deriving any benefit from the marriage, why stay married? All the b.s. Lifetime movies (Bridges of Madison county I'm lookin at you) are fantastical stories where the women are strong for cheating on their husbands because they aren't getting what they need emotionally, and the men are pigs when they cheat on their wives.

I was wondering the same thing. Details are noticeably absent. Though, most peoples 360s will RROD, requiring them to buy a new one anyways, so the new one they will inevitably have to pick up will have the port on it. Also, people talk about how awesome it will be to play racing games without a wheel. Sure, I guess. Just do this. Go ahead and stick your arms out in front of you and hold them there like you are holding a wheel. Now how long do you honestly think you can go before your arms get tired? At least a wheel gives your arms something to rest on...

Inside those memos there could be a ton of sensitive information outlining troop movements, names of spies, etc. Not to mention that if the foreign governments, agencies or yes, terrorists, have the encrypted versions of these memos, and now have the unencrypted versions, they could find a way to crack our encryption algorithms.

No to mention that the collateral murder video was an edit, of a much longer video. And the much longer video was an edit (done by this guy) that showed some very UNdamning things that the pilots did, like NOT firing when children/innocents were in the line of fire.

Yeah, kudos for doing a self-edit on the video before releasing it to Wikileaks (who did another self edit) that could put the military into a worse light than they would've been with the missing footage in there. In the missing footage, we know that the helicopter pilots DID NOT fire TWICE when there were civilians/children in harms way. Seeing that might change the thoughts slightly on the pieces of video that were seen...

Here's the question that guides the economics of text messaging: Is it worth 20 cents for me to send a message to my friend?

Yeah, no, it's not worth 20 cents per, but over the course of the number of messages I send/receive, 20 cents multiplied by all those is a good deal more than my flat plan for texts, so I go with the plan. Really though, that doesn't affect me. Who it does affect are the people who barely send/receive any. They want figure they might as well get a plan for $5/month instead of risking paying the 20 cents per if they start getting a bunch. If they only send/receive 10 messages, that's $2 right there, and the phone company is making $3. It's trying to nudge people into buying text message insurance

It frankly amazes me that with all the alternatives on most newer phones, SMS is still used and abused.

What other alternatives are there? Yeah, I could use Google Voice, or Gtalk, or Skype, or any other messaging service, but how do I get people who are not on a smartphone to use anything but my Google Voice number. Also, everyone already has my regular number, so getting all my contacts to send me messages there instead of to my phone is damn difficult too.

...But is phone manufacturer. If you make the phone and it just runs a vanilla Android OS, then you can theoretically push the update out without too much pain. The problem comes from the phone manufacturers who are trying to "improve" the OS by adding things like Sense UI and Motoblur. Yeah, some of these improvements are better, but others aren't any better than what comes in vanilla, and even more are worse. The fact that the modding community can turn on OS around in a few weeks and push it back out to the device is testament to how easy it is to put these newer versions of software on the phone, and it just the manufacturers trying to add their own crap back on that is the issue.
