and no i wouldn't mod anyone down due to disagreement. people doing that are tards modding down should be reserved for trolls and blatant flamebaiting.
In Pennsylvania, an official-looking flyer announced that due to high turnout, Allegheny County had declared that Republicans were to vote on November 2, and Democrats on November 3.
holy crap that is pretty messed up, though not all that different than all the dead votors and ballot boxes that have ended up in the ocean. I wouldn't put that or other stuff listed in the report past some localities but i doubt this stuff was much more widespread than it is every election. I'm a lot more worried about diebold and other electronic voting making voter fraud harder to detect and track down since any system could have hidden api's that onle activate under certain circumstances, such as a chip monitoring user input and when a secret code is entered re-writing the kernel in memory to do something evil, would never be found through software inspection and who has the time and resources to verify the chip fabs and hunt for obfusciated evil code.
i don't care about headshots, the issue is that a joystick makes reacting to an unexpected threat more cumbersome. thus putting more emphasis on who sees who first and encouraging camping.
with a mouse you can do better trick jumps while shooting and take on several lower skill players and win. with paddles if you have to waid for the game's aiming speed two or three opponents together have a huge advantage against one player of higher skill.
The second time around the key words are "eligible voters", being that his buddy Karl and the rest of the quacks did everything they could to reduce the number of eligible voters by fraud, intimidation, and massive communal inconvenience.
Care to cite evidence of this? and no some idiot's blog doesn't count
So, when you switch employers, your new health care company can deny coverage on pre-existing conditions? Wow, I didn't know that. That really sucks.
the ultimate alternative would be no company willing to insure anyone with any sort of existing bad health. would you take a deal where someone wanted to pay you $100 for a 50:50 chance of you paying him or her $10000 next year?
living in new york i am all to familiar with what teachers unions do.
not that the administrative staff is particularly competant but for a long time (should be gone with new contract now) teachers could file a grievance for any negative entry in their file, thus making it nearly impossible to fire incompetant teachers, even when CONVICTED of crimes against students only sometimes the teacher gets fired.
i'll call bullshit on that. i have played a little halo, have played many FPS games using both paddles and kb/mouse. and i have watched so pretty decent halo tourneys.
unless the mouse is deliberately nerfed or paddles get auto-aim any decent player on kb/mouse will smoke even the best using a paddle.
more importantly in active you can be heard far longer distances than you can hear echo's, so a threat my be able to hide themselves and avoid all detection when passive would have heard them
the difference is that a slashdot poster does not reach millions of people who know them by name, and anyone who believes a slashdot post without references is an idiot.
it is possible to have two keys each of which extract a different set of predefined data from a single encrypted block. overlay a conversation about grandma not feeling well with a conversation about how evil the government is
the government will never be any less than 15 years behind technology.
the problem is that if the practice spreads to say, Europe and USA commercial AIDS R&D will be paralysed. nationalizing is good for emergencies because you don't have time for the free market to find a more optimal than government mandated solution. but anything short of an emergency you will hurt progress.
big difference between AIDS and bird flu, AIDS does not carry any risk of rapid near complete infection of large cities, while bird flu does.
Nationalizing AIDS drug patens would KILL a huge amount of for profit AIDS research. while nationalizing a drug to prevent a pandemic keeps that disease from destroying the economy
WINE isn't unstable. cewrtain apps will fail to work at all or be unstable in certain situations. however WINE iteself is rock solid and with apps that are unstable under windows i have found better in crash recovery. in particular EQIM an instant message program for connecting to everquest chat servers when it crashes in windows you have to wait N time where N can be a large amount sometimes but not always before a final error box to pop up before it can be successfully restarted. under WINE EQIM looked like hell but was no less stable than under windows. but could be relaunched instantly when it did crash and seemed to eat it's configuration files less often under WINE
LED is less efficient than Flourescent or CF, LED lamps are somewhat more efficient than regular incandescent bulbs but really are better suited to flashlights due to their better perfomance at low voltages and harsh environments due to durability and long life
i think gp was talking about a university
the movie 'From Hell' was a piece of Fiction
