    TI-86 Basic I wrote my own top down shooter, it ran slow but I made it and your ship could shoot lasers or missiles., I cloned a puzzle block game, I wrote a version of minesweeper, I wrote a notes editing program and I wrote a drawing program that could save as images or as sequences of draw commands to save space

    it's a little bit of both.

    there are tons of unaccounted for bitcoins harvested in the early days they will not reenter the market until

    a) the market is large enough to not crash when whoever is sitting on them cashes out

    or

    b) whoever is sitting on them needs the money badly enough not to care.

    I keep a bottle of low test (50%) isopropyl next to my sink just for that purpose.

    it also removes "permanent" ink from surfaces and cloth (although cloth tends to smear around rather than come completely out)

    I will miss my Bold 9700 when i upgrade to a Z10 or Q10, the BIS server side compression really helps with spotty reception areas my coworkers constantly complain that their iProducts and Droids can't get online in the building

    I like to drink and I have tested myself at .08, .08 is pretty drunk.

    because despite what talk radio may assert, the function of regulating agencies is not to supress improved modern technology. the only time i ever lost any coverage on my cell due to a storm was when a lightning bolt popped the cell tower near my home. blizzards, high wind, and floods all make mincemeat out of copper threads hanging from sticks anyways and buried copper is more durable but takes forever to fix when it does get wrecked.

    firefox 21 ran it pretty well, stuttery and about 16 fps but it looked great and was very impressive as a web game engine tech demo.

    I agree, the nerds are older now, I tend to cling to phones for a long time, I had my black and green LCD nokia 1100 until summer 2011. At that time I upgraded to a Bold 9700 as android wasn't quite "there" in terms of polish and iOS doesn't allow any freedom (you can't even select your own audio files as ringtones without buying an app for that)

    quite the opposite, society functions due to the successes of the few, the elite. to identify students with that level of potential is how we strengthen our society, not by spending vast amounts of resources trying to turn a few percentage of future ditch diggers, sandwich artists and fry cooks into file clerks, middle managers and receptionists instead.

    Nothing about bitcoin would prevent fractional reserve banking, however the nature of bitcoin would make it trivial for a reckless bank to extend their reserve all the way down to 0% and not disclose this until and unless a run on said bank caused a bank failure.

    If anything BTC is vastly more vulnerable to money multiplying effects and will only become more so if it does expand in usage. Multiple "banks" could be operating on the same reserve and nobody would know until one failed and suddenly all of them failed.

    BTC is a very interesting cypher-anarchist currency but it is not an investment vehicle and the precautions needed when conducting business in it are vastly different from fiat or precious metal backed currency.
