    the republican option of reducing costs by ignoring pollution and allowing the corporate shell to go bankrupt from fines after shareholders have gotten their money is more efficient, as long as you are a shareholder and don't live nearby

    if you really want to unfuck the country repeal the concept of limited liability to shareholders, if a business goes under and still owes, take it out of the hides of everyone who has gotten a dividend or capital gain from owning shares of that company. suddenly actual corporate responsibility, instead of talking a lot of bullshit, will be important

    it is illegal to export waste for disposal in ways that are not legal here, but with creative use of shell corporations you can minimize financial losses when caught

    what's the excuse for Fukishima, which BTW was recently measured at 10+ SV/hr and i have heard unconfirmed reports that 10 was not so much a reading but the maximum that the meters can read out and so it could be any amount higher than 10

    IIRC 48V DC is used by telco's for two reasons, one is they can make easy battery backups and 2 there are more stringent safety rules above 50V

    it would work better to allow prospective buying, compliant devices would electronically transmit their usage profiles (time @ power) and the buyer would set a deadline to complete, the supplier would send a binding quote to the buyer, the purchase would be fulfilled by the utility company sending a signal to the device when to start and which profile to use, rather than buying power at a certain time, you would buy power at a price, the supplier would set the time and they would guarantee delivery based on your devices charging profiles so it would be delivered by your deadline.

    hispanic is not treated as a race under federal law, it is in fact the only group that is treated logically, when declaring race someone either is or is not hispanic, they are also one other racial group, the correct way to classify, if iclassification must be done, would be to have ALL racial/ethnic groups as unlimited optional flags, right now it is pick one and also are you hispanic y/n

    Entirely reasonable, they could sell an MS window manager as "MS Windows" and still sell office exchange, sql server, etc. At the same prices they have now. It would certainly be a loss in revenue compared to being one of many OS's but they would still be the 800 lb gorilla and people would still pay $100 to buy or demand their oem machines come with the MS window manager and applications set.
