    UGS NX is also available for Macs now which is really nice considering it's a top tier CAD/CAM/CAE package.

    Expensive as hell though.

    they consider the iPhone to be a nice prestige item but hopelessly outclassed by its own phones. Westerners drool over Japanese gadgets and often the cry is hear, why don't we get japanese phones/laptops/etc over here.

    Two problems with your cunning plan.

    1) By dumping the money on the market, they lower it's value.
    2) The Renminbi is tied to the dollar. (hint: CPC will be fucked)

    The 6870 actually has less performance than the 5870... Same goes for the 6850/5850... I don't really understand why they named them the way they did... Either way, a 6970 is supposed to be released in the near future to surpass the GTX480/5870.

    I wouldn't say I understand, but I can see dudes showing of his shiny iPhone to compensate for other body parts, good, charge that iPhone every night.

    What's with this absolutely lame excuse you people parrot every time someone has something nicer than you?

    Regardless, I never once changed my calculator battery through 6 years of engineering school since it was a lowly TI-30X IIS, one of the few calculators actually allowed in class.

    Let's wikipedia it:

    A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than from any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. Pyramid schemes are a form of fraud.

    What you're describing on the other hand is just exploitation.

    The OP was referring to reactor designs which are entirely in the experimental phase, thorium reactors and travelling wave reactors.

    As a mechanical engineer, I generally agree with your sentiments however.

    The reason your HD4650 is sufficient is because you're playing essentially console games on a graphics card thats slightly more powerful than the consoles themselves. Also you're only running at a low resolution, try gaming at 1920x1080 on your 4650, it won't get you too far.

    That is why I wouldn't be surprised if the next gen gaming consoles don't do something similar to the original Xbox

    There is a reason they didn't do that again, it's because it's more expensive than a dedicated console...
