Perhaps they should have written the code in a portable way rather than require IE6. Who still does that? It was bound to be obsolete eventually. Guess it's time for them to pay out for vm software for old XP or pony up the money to make the software correctly. Willing to be Active X is involved.
Um no, not in linear applications which most things are. Not that much software is written to be parallel (yet), and a lot of things even at the math level are hard to do in a parallel way.
I don't see the relevance. Maybe if the chip which is not standard now adays is infected with a virus that specifically causes problems. Say you have a chip that keeps your hearth rhythm normal, and the virus tells your "device" to make your heart beat 200x a minute.
This would be troublesome, but not what this was meant to show.
Though I think it is conceptual proof-of-concept. So when we do go down that route of future implants security measures need to be put in place.
There was an article not so long ago where it was shown a person could send signals to a pacemaker to cause harm.
I've been working on my own HAB for a couple months now. Amazed noone has mentioned the use of cell phone in this experiment and the huge LOS coverage this will cause being at such a high altitude. A couple HAB's have used this, in fact there was a post a while back where some MIT students did it for less than $150 using a modified phone that sent GPS packets over SMS.
However is it legal? As I'm designing mine, I've been very tempted to go this route since it's A LOT cheaper than buying even a minimal arps rig. Alas it doesn't seem so so am dismissing it as an option.
So can we get back on topic and stop talking about typo's and Portugal, Europe. What happened to/.
Does the person have to be a student right now? I'm hoping to go back this fall if I can get enough money. So I could use this for tuition.
I need $3k for fulltime, so this sounds like a wonderful "scholarship" of sorts.

I agree... I really wish I can go back this fall, but unless I can come up with another 3k in the next 3 months it's not going to happen. So this sounds like a nice deal, though a bit of catch-22.
After seeing the movie where data dies, it does kind of hint at the end the character "might" come back.
Remember earlier in the movie "Jordie?" said it was prob a bad idea to download Data's brain into B4.
So ideally there's a backup. Then at the end of the movie, B4 starts to whistle/sing... just as Number 1 mentioned Data did when they first meet...
so *shrug* in the android world... is a backup/clone really the same as the original?
