This ted talk was from 2010. Looks simple and like it works really well. Not sure why you'd need a "full electrode mesh." Not sure what the hell's taking it so long either.
So now that Obama has come out in favor of this, what reasoning will the Republicans use to oppose it? Will they appeal to their libertarian ideals that telcos should be able to do whatever the fuck they want to their consumers?
Almost. Gov: #$@%$# Whistle Blower: Gov's spying on you Press: Stop spying on us! Gov: $#%@* SCOTUS: Fuck you, prove a negative Gov to Whistle Blower: Off to be loved in Guantanamo SCOTUS: Fuck you
In my case, my roommate was reasonable and he did not continue the practice after I showed it to him and explained that I would not "go down" for it.
So tell me genius, if a civil suit was filed against you and your roommate then denied that he infringed any copyright, how exactly you would prevent yourself from 'going down' for this? The burden of proof lies with you to prove that you didn't download it, 'cause it sure looks to them like you did. It's not like they're going to confiscate your computer to do a forensics investigation on it to prove you're guilty, they already have your IP address showing that you did it (not that that proves a fucking thing). And that is just one of many problems of this so called 'piracy' bullshit.
They done goofed this time. You need to set up a backtrace. I can help you. Send me all of your log-in information and I will get the backtrace set up. Then I will forward your case on to the Cyber Police. These hackers aren't going to know what hit them.
I wish we in the US would get as upset about corporations taking away our rights (through the purchase of laws) as we do about gun laws. This would not be an issue if that were to happen.
The most worrying thing is that now the banks make deals and pay fines so that the executives can walk away with their bonuses. Instead of going into jail as they should. This means this will happen again.
They view it as the cost of doing business. If this shit doesn't change I really fear that we are headed toward a revolution. Not the 'interesting times' that I would prefer to live in.
Let's kowtow! Idea: let's give in to what they want. Bow deeply and honestly, and maybe they might forgive us our sins. What could possibly go wrong? After all, these attacks would certainly cease.
You're funny. It also sounds like you're part of the problem.
Google does this because they value privacy: the privacy of the data of every aspect of your personal and professional life. The privacy of this data has great value ($$$). Some other company getting hold of this data would certainly lessen its value.
Also: as meaningless as petitions are, they'd be slightly less meaningless if you at least courageously offered those an ability to sign a petition in the opposite direction too. In fact, this should be a moral requirement for all those who ever make a petition.
Bullshit.
It is not your opponent's job to lay out your case for you, that is your job.
Surely, with the law on their side, Europe would've never seen porn again!
Right?! This would have been an even bigger failure than the war on drugs. How in the fuck did they think they could stop it?
Better yet, how do morons of this caliber get to be so high up in government?
It appears that you can make this shit up, because I can find no evidence to suggest that Prenda Law has any connection whatsoever with Orly Taitz.
Agreed. I googled the shit out of it, and the only reference to it was leftie's comment. MOD GP DOWN!
Orly?
There's a lot of 'me-too' startups with some of the best and brightest figuring out ways to sell me stuff rather the working on flying cars.
The flying car was your grandfather's future, and it now sounds weird to use it as a symbol for the future.
The flying car is a symbol for a future that never was.

Wouldn't you rather receive a warning from your ISP than be sent a bill or legal threat by the RIAA/MPAA?
With lube, or without? The new face of consumer choice.

Reduce the prices ten-fold
Really? I think you're trying to say "reduce by 90%".
Hmm. I guess this is why english isn't a programming language.

I voted for Obama twice and would probably do so again, but "timid and unimaginative" seems to be a defining feature of his presidency.
What is this, god damned reddit?!
Yea, you can shove that over-priced, over-hyped bullshit right where the sun don't shine, Bucko.
Obviously not an Apple fan.

Personally I like "The Cyber Extinction". It just sounds awesome!
It's not sounding like you're a part of the solution, either.
The less people are part of the problem, the closer we are to a solution, so I'll take that.

The point of college/university is to teach you how to think not fucking tradeschool.
I took a few college classes, and right now I'm thinking "not fucking tradeschool" so it looks like it worked!
Circus magic disguised as Artificial Intelligence is just artifice.
Hmm. Circus magic that kicked the shit out of Ken Jennings. Maybe your mind is circus magic too? Just not quite as good.
I don't support Kim.com or Anonymous. Nor do I support DRM or the US Government.
You're a rebel without a cause.

I guess being lazy sucks.
