What city do you live in that has the roaming gangs of NFC scanning master thiefs? Honestly, here's some wild speculation on my part, the chance of someone being out, with this technology, within what, a metre of you?, for long enough to steal your information, must be ridiculously small. Yet I would assume you drive a vehicle of some sort with a much higher probability of death and destruction. This is also assuming its a one factory auth system. Honestly.
If you search for Facebook itself inside the Facebook app *not an Inception reference*
Then you will find 67,772,408 people have liked the page.
I think this shows that even of the 800^10*6 people on Facebook only 70^10*6 actually like the service
What's truly incredible is that you believe that what you have just written is a coherent, well thought out and backed up with evidence, retort to the previous statement.
It is telling to note, that both Android and iPhone are growing market share at the expense of Blackberry and others, rather than at the expense of each other.
They are obviously new sales, otherwise the market would be growing. Most sensible people will be buying iPhones until Google stop demanding an Internet connection to use their search engine instead of installing to local SD card.
seriously you must be trolling but i'll bite
wtf is the point of a search engine without the internet?
your perfect world is a search engine that is locally installed and has to be updated constantly....which uses the internet to get your results anyway?
I have 2.2 on my Galaxy S and its faster and looks best than two of the guys at work who have iphone 4's they all looked at me with disdain the first day, like I was a fool for getting it.
But after they played with it and ran a few comparisons, they dont hang out with me so much anymore
Homer: You're right, Marge. Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall.
The entire day, I kept saying, 'I'll go a little later, I'll go a little later...' And when I got there, they told me he just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he'll ever come back again, he said he didn't know. Well, I'm never going to let something like that happen again!
I understand where you are coming from, but you still need to pay for the internet that you are using it on, as well as internet on your phone, which I bet isnt cheap.
Now im sure its possible to use outside free internet and free wireless on your mobile, but for most of the time you are paying for your internet, of course this is an expense you would have anyway and the price of internet is only going down but you still pay.
I'm not disagreeing with you, I have recently signed up for voip with my isp Iinet, ( I am advertising this, if your in aust and you arent with them you are getting ripped off, I dont get paid for this i've just done my homework) here in OZ which offers free local and national calls, within what they call reasonable amounts, which I have never exceeded. Telstra have recently allowed to use the phone line without paying for the line, iinet call it naked im not sure what it is actually called. Which also means when overseas I can use my voip details on my laptop to call home, to anyones landline, for the cost of my internet.
I have my mobile on a company offering free voice calls to people on the same network, so I have all my family on them, I wont say who im not advertising this.
Then there is regular overseas calls which we use Skype for.
The only things I pay for, apart from the cost of internet and my mobile, are calls to mobiles on different networks.
And you know this is only going to get better. Internet is getting cheaper and cheaper and easier to access outside the home all the time.
please, have you ever used windows mobile 5 for any length of time, I had it for all of 6 weeks on a dopod before throwing it back at the store in utter disgust, the keyboard didnt work half the time, it was frozen the rest of the time and it was atrociously slow and ive heard this repeated by 3 friends who have had different handsets with wm5. Now the keyboard and speed could be palmed off to bad hardware, but with some of microsofts recent os vomiting's I wouldnt go so far looking for a culprit.
I agree
If I bought a brand new ford and found numerous problems with it but could not take it back because they were 'undocumented features' but was then told, a year later, that I COULD take it back because these features had been recategorised as 'documented abnormalities' and then in the process of fixing it was told that I would have to upgrade my back seat, I would be on the phone to johnny law.
I imagine this has been discussed before as this seems pretty obvious that as cool as transporters would be if you think about how much of the worlds economy is based around transport ((ie 95%?) baseless hypothesis).
Cheaply transporting people and objects instantly anywhere in the world (universe?) would destroy the economy. Now I imagine this problem is put into the 'im sure by the time we have figured out transportation we will live in universe of perfect economy'.
Still its something to think about.
The SSD is fast and rugged, but today it can hold only a cramped 64 gigabytes of files
I cannot imagine a 'road warrior' or any other business man ever finding that much space cramped, you could have 20 divx movies and a thousand mp3's on that hardware and still have what, a paltry 40gig left?
No doubt necessary for the 32 million spreadsheets and documents you use every second of every day.
In my opinion if your not haxing l33t warez and downloading copious amounts of porn and lat3st n gr3at3st moviez my 5 yo 32gig raptor is more space than I will need for the foreseeable future.
The reason you don't see that yet, is that hollywood has agreed not to set the ICT bit on any media until 2012
so we can all be nice and comfy at home with our blu-ray/hd-dvd combo drives, looting the shit out of bittorrent then suddenly nothing works.
I have to ask why this has taken so long, we needed this 10 years ago. The asus site says its down, cant find all the details, does it come with all linux partitioning tools? including resizing of partitions? I know this can be provided by live cd's, but what if you dont have a cd player?
This is fantastic, finally having it available, but really about damn time.
the only movie u can see without getting something that plays.qtl which is apparently quicktime which is a definite no no (worst media player ever (besides realplayer) and so by that i guess i mean worst still existing player)
That his response to this glint of light is 'How cool is that?'.
seriously, ive had more interesting patterns in the foam of a mcdonalds cappucino

We all can see that the Internet is getting slower *Citation needed* Have you tried turning your modem off and on again?
I thought the plan was to find out if it ever repeats...
What's truly incredible is that you believe that what you have just written is a coherent, well thought out and backed up with evidence, retort to the previous statement.
as the hot blonde in Forgetting Sarah Marshall said 'booshit booshit booshit'
im hungover but seriously thought i was on 4chan for a minute there

and what is a 'smart phone' without the internet?
It also grew arms, pulled down my pants, and put this bottle of hand-lotion on the table beside me!
this place has seriously gone down hill
But after they played with it and ran a few comparisons, they dont hang out with me so much anymore
so I .....win?
well.....yes?
I thought it was a haiku
and how do we know this is being done the most efficient way? The code needs to be peer reviewed
How much of this is dependent on the pc?
The entire day, I kept saying, 'I'll go a little later, I'll go a little later...' And when I got there, they told me he just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he'll ever come back again, he said he didn't know. Well, I'm never going to let something like that happen again!
sorry couldnt help myself

What ever happened to self describing hardware? Why cant the hardware tell the kernel what it wants, and handle its own updates.

is terrible quality, what was the plan there
