Most religious organizations rely on as much volunteer work and "free" services as they can get. Often, a member of the organization will offer to provide a service free of charge (such as hosting, programming, installing a CMS, setting up a wireless network in the offices, etc.).
When services like that are rendered by well-intentioned, but ignorant volunteers, websites are highly vulnerable to infection.
The home page has no keyword tag, no description tag and only 255 words of search engine readable text. It's amazing that the site ranks as well as it does.
There are still MANY rural communities that lack affordable broadband options. I'd imagine there are more than a few people who would rather pay a few bucks rather than wait 14 days for the thing to download over their low-bandwidth connections.
Crossing the Atlantic requires going in a straight line for as long as possible.
I think only somebody who has spent a fair amount of time at the helm of a sailboat can truly appreciate just how complicated this is.
Winds vary to a great extent... waves knock your bow from side-to-side (especially in a small craft, which this apparently is)... currents can take you miles off course. The first two conditions can frequently require extremely quick and accurate responses to avoid capsizing - not so much w/ the currents of course.
Having an unmanned craft sail from Portugal to the Caribbean is more complicated than landing an unmanned craft on Mars. Once you leave the Earth's atmosphere, it's pretty much smooth sailing the whole way.
This is no different from any other profession. Talented fry cooks move up in the world, leaving room for the talented dish washer to be promoted. But fry cooks and dishwashers wouldn't make it into./, I guess.

Copyright violation is a felony - not civil - offense.
HERETIC! We must burn you now ... Steve be praised.
Let's just say it's about 2.7 degrees K colder than intergalactic space. It's less dramatic, but more to the point.

I have a bumper sticker that says this verbatim!
Think on this concept ... President Cheney ... Can't you hear the chanting ... four more years, four more years, four more years.

it has also been reported that Apple (APPL) is still very near to death's door.
Another Linux Distro! Thank goodness, I was starting to feel like I was running out of options.
Seriously folks, 64 Distributions should be enough for anybody.
I think any rational observer will agree there's a HUGE difference between the iPod's 72% market share, and Windows' 95% [+/-] market share.
You can all just take the rest of the year off now.
... what if somebody invents a time machine next week, will we be able to go back and fix this list retroactively?
But wait
You'd think any ./ editor would have realized this ... Oh, well, they'll probably get it right the NEXT time they run this article ;)
