Why not create a spell in game that allows a person the 'plane shift'.
Name collisions can be got around by prepending 'Orginal Realm' or even using the original realm as a surname as in 'Francis of Windrunner'.
I can imagine being the subject of this spell would be traumatic and cause several hours of unconsciousness (as in give your systems a chance to do the move).
I started off on Windrunner myself, but want to move to Proudmore due to the larger number of Aussie users.... if I can't move, then I'll probably just stop playing (and paying)...
I get the old 100% CPU usage issue, sometimes even with no plugins.
With PDF plugin - it frequently freezes windows beyond recover (red button time).
Like I said, it probably isn't Firefox at fault, but end result is same.
On my Linux box at least all it does is crash, and now that Thunderbird is a separate (and stable) product that isn't a problem any more (I didn't use Mozilla because I kept losing half prepared e-mails cause the browser kept taking down the whole thing).
Real money - I've got some real money here (Aussie Dollars) - I bet I can't go into a US soda (what ever that is) shop and buy some soda (what ever that is).
Does that make my Aussie money less real, or just less valuable ?
By the way - how do yanks distinguish between fizzy sweet drinks and silver/tin alloys used for conneting electrical components ?
I 'buy' a CD or DVD for $30 (yes $30)... there is only two possibilites:
A: I own the entire disc and contents, meaning I can copy it for backup purposes and if it dies or I break it - then I have to pay another $30 for a new one.
B: I own the media only, meaning I can't copy it for backup purposes and if it dies, or I break it or lose it - then all I need pay is another $0.50 for new media.
My question is - which of these two are we expected to go with ?
Or are the large companies trying to have it both ways ?
Dying is good for the species.
Makes sense that some genes might turn off some of the mechanisms for death.
The old scale is broken.
I wonder if there was a test to measure the other half - would men come anywhere near as close to women ?
Is this a co-incidence .... google is relevant to this content.
:)
Of course it is - how else do you find the cracks and serialz
Well - of course it is.
Theft is a criminal act, copyright infringement is a civil act.
I'll also ask them why they wouldn't take my money before when I wanted to buy their stuff.
Then I'll sell all my CDs, DVDs etc to pay them.
The infringement is the thing, the violation is the act.
As in, when I violate their rights - an infringement is the result.
I'm getting really pissed off at these record/movie companies misrepresenting the truth.
The simple fact is - it's called copyright violation, not theft.
And when they bloody wake up to the new technology, then people will start giving them money for the stuff.
I'm still waiting to pay for 50 or more songs that they WILL NOT LET ME BUY.
A friend had a customer that rang up and said that they had been running DOS and decided to delete two files that they didn't want '.' and '..'.
.., everything else had gone.
The customer rang back and complained that the only two files left on his machine where . and
Australia delights in self deprecation, the same way the US delights in self grandeur.
Get used to it folks - the two Kangaroos I live with got used to it last night.
Played game, and MMORPG doesn't have an S in it....
160 dead in Venezuela Crash, Gaza Pull out and Paul Abdul's Idol issues.
I doubt it - yet it's front page on CNN.COM...
Can you implement a quest log history, where done quests are just marked as done.
That way - I can pass an earlier quest in a chain I am doing to a prospective group member.
Currently it's a pain when each person is upto a different part.
Remember - the downside for the person is not getting the XP upto that point, the up side is joining in on a group quest.
I think your solution has already presented itself. Stop playing the game. Give me your gold, so I can get past level 30 in one character :)
I second this. And allow us Aussies to move our characters to the new box as well.
Are you planning on establishing a consistent economy - where stuff I sell to Merchants is available to other players to purchase, and vice-versa.
The current system of each vendor just somehow having stuff, doesn't quite cut it.

I don't use Firefox because of stability issues on Windows.
Then again - it might not be Firefox, but the end result is the same.
I think it has around 50,000 per server, several million playing the game .... so that's pretty massive in anyones eyes.
The fact that 90% of the population are sleeping in inns at any time is probably not relevant.
Having $20,000 doesn't make you 0.02 of a millionairre.
Similarly, The first M in MMORPG, suggests that a 1000 player game was probably just an MORPG.

When there is internet cafe's in WoW Inns and Taverns on which I can read the news, read slashdot and even play online games such as WoW.
... mmmm!!!
And what sort of conspiracy that my verify word was 'sorcery'

Ok - just to say again ... words and bits of paper mean squat when you take something into a shop to get a refund.
If the dude says no, then nothing - even from Consumer Affairs can actually force them to give the refund.
This is the reality of the world, not the fiction of meaningless words.
I've read the links, however links and words don't force a shop to accept a refund. If the shop says no - you are screwed.
And yes, I've been through this a number of times over the last 20 years.
