Even things as simple as the commom cold are highly mobile conpared to a "few" years ago. Given air travel what it is today; a small outbreak of anything highly contagious can spell absolute disaster on a global scale.
It's easy to forget people have only recently become the global travelers we now are.
TB and all the others are no longer isolated to the point of initial/original concentration.
Adds new meaning to "just off the jet".
I am guessing here: I believe the weight of this payload was just too damn heavy for the the others to deploy. From other articles I read this morning this satellite is one of the larger ever placed into orbit.
Why would Dell pay them for anything? I'm not sure I can imagine why anyone would pay them for their program.
It's the same damn thing as SCO doing their little court dance.
If you can't make a dime on your own; for Christ sake sue someone who can.
Ultimately, I believe the end result will be a lot of companies in the pay to play download business, with not a buck to be made. It's going to be little more than an advertising tool for most of the players. MS, AOL, Dell, and the others are going into this not with the intent of making huge profits but with the intent of driving customers into areas of the their business that contain profit potential.
While my crystal ball is not working as the to long term of paid music downloads; It's somewhat safe to say the only parties to not get so much as a taste of the cash are the vary artists who should be getting the bulk of it.
Your not really on what I would term a really high bandwidth connection. It's a lot easier on the ISP from the beginning when your not connected at 1500+/768. Allowing you to operate a server isn't going to do a lot of harm either given they are allowing you only 128 going up.
I understand you are a far cry from being on a dialup account, but what you are considering high speed; by my way of thinking has already somewhat limited your potential ability to create any saturation issues. There are some VERY high speed cable and dsl connections out there these days. Some by design, many by accident.
Damn, I nailed that one...... Not a word about a "huge hole" in OSX. Only a slightly smaller hole (sarah lane) talking some shit about a hole in IE and another browser..... If they ain't anything else at TTV, they are damn sure predictable.
Anyone giving odds on the Tech TV Mac lovers saying absolutely nothing about this tomarrow, much less today.....? My guess is they can't do a story on this one without at least pointing to something Microsoft.
Since SysPrep is not available on the web; clinking on this link http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/too ls/sysprep/license.asp
Would be of absolutely of no use......
Texas accents are an odd thing. We have lived in Texas for less than two years, and our 10 year old sounds like she has been here for 100 years.
My conclusion is if you are young at the time you are exposed to the Texas twang, your a lot more likely to catch it.
In the case of Dubya; Those years in Midland as a youth would damn sure qualify him for the real deal.
If it looks like a duck.......
Gator can call themselves any damn thing they want to... However to court of public opinion is not going to rule in their favor.
Nuff Said.
Obviously, he knew full well what he was doing when he signed the report. I find it very believable he also understood what the end result of his actions would be.
It seems a huge stretch to believe a man of his experience and background didn't fully understand the position he was placing himself and his employer in by participating in this report.
He no doubt had an employment agreement specifically stating "pre-acceptance" of anything he published while while employed by @Stake. He violated the agreement, and they fired him.
Not the first to get fired for violation of an employment agreement, certainly won't be the last.

Better to get 10 in the pen, than to be carried by 6.... If in doubt shoot first.
Perhaps it was intended as an early test of the DMCA itself? Or another lame attempt by a desperate company to gain market share?

Spammer's Cookbook.
Should make the NY Times Bestseller list in a matter of days along with a few more Euros.
Not funny, and likely to happen.
Words cannot express how much I wouldn't apply this patch.

3000 /. users spenting five minutes each reading this thread = one hell of a waste of time.....
Glad I stayed away from the scroll lock thread.
