I don't know why you're at -1, but you know, you probably have a point. I would argue that if you're not browsing 'seditious' Chinese websites (which are probably in Chinese) then the government there probably doesn't give a damn about what you're doing. It sounds like the poster has way too high an expectation of how much other people pay attention to him. Unless you're looking for trouble, or very unlucky, it's just FUD.
Ok, actually RTFA'd and you know what? This article is shit - its premise is shit. The faulty cap story was news in 2005; people got their systems replaced. It was a blip. And you know what? 5 years later Dell is still with us. Snyder is running a beat-up here and I think it's off base.
I've been a corporate customer of Dell for ages and I've never had a problem with any of my systems. Their laptops have been some of the best I've used. Why all the doom and gloom? What's the problem? Has their CEO been indicted for baby-eating or something?
And you know, you're probably right. By being that token minority and then breaking stereotypes, you're crossing boundaries and exposing people to a new understanding of foreign culture. For once, something self-serving is actually helping the world become a better place.
If it was that way, only rich engineers would produce anything. I'm in the middle of trying to bring a small electronics project to market and I can tell you that the start up costs alone are nudging $100k, and that's not including the research, design and development I've already done. If I want to take it to the next step, I need a loan, VC investment or I need a company to bring it to market. I wish it wasn't that way, but that's economics. As your projects get bigger, the amount of funding you need to take off increases dramatically.
I'm curious - do you always expect men to be dishonest with you? We may be boors at time, but I would dispute that the majority of us are dishonourable.
If I were to say "It's refreshing to hear a Jew be honest" I would be censured; how is it ok for you to say the same thing of males?
To clarify the nuance of the argument, I think they are saying that if Artist A gives away their work for free, it is inherently undermining Artist B who is trying to sell an equivalent work. They're not saying that it's theft, they're saying it's anti-competitive. I would argue, though, that if you can't compete with free-as-in-beer then there's something wrong with your business model.
It's pretty obvious that the whole internet filter plan was an appeasement move to secure support for some of the more batty parts of the politicum. Now that it's passed its use-by date, I think we'll see it tiredly retired after "public consultation" and "thorough analysis". To be honest, I think we'd have seen exactly the same thing under the Liberals.
+1 sad truth
Yes, that's right. Anarchist scum, the lot of them!
Better to be voted in by people who can read, than voted out by people who cannot.

Alas, even portal had a suspicious number of 'unportalable' walls.

It looked good, so I bought it. I bought it so it must be good. *rocks back and forth tearfully clutching ipad*
Rent yes, own no.
Don't forget - big fat americans must also be rich to afford so much food! That means they are not only hiring foreigners, but wealthy foreigners too!

Communism isn't that sexy; fortunately for them, they realised that some of their agents are...

My kingdom for modpoints. Your analysis is sane and comprehensible. Bravo.
Uh huh. Seize a petrol company tightly knit with a foreign government that happens to be one of our allies and also a nuclear power.
Let me know how that works out.

Just fabulous - thanks for asking!
You sir/madam, speak sense. I cannot give you modpoints, so instead I reward you with the internet. Use it for good.
I'm impressed that you're so insightful that you know exactly how I voted in the last election.
Am I the only one who read that as "1000 Gnomes Project to Release Pilot Gnome"?

Self Replicating post! :-P :-P
Self Replicating post!
Bravo... just... bravo. Oh for a bucket of mod points.
But that's ok... only ethically bad people use pornography, right? Right?
What? You mean risks to one part of the internet make it less safe for the rest of us? Gasp!
