In 2002, when woody will be released, technologies in Installation will be more advanced, please keep this in mind. Users may be more demanding. With 2 years (or more!) to plan ahead, the Debian installer should be great!
Someone liked my mp3's on mp3.com enough to 'tip' me, however I was unnable to accept as I'm Canadian. I was more dissappointed to tell someone who was obviously a (valuable) fan that I couldn't accept their gift than missing out on some money.
The big problem with SVG is that it is text and not binary. This means that a graphic will be bigger in SVG than Flash. Also flash can be compressed, and SVG cannot making the difference bigger. Think those 100k flash animations are annoying to wait for loading? I can only image how big the SVG equivelents will be.
No, Adobe has SWF output with LiveMotion and Xara, a cool UK company, will have SWF output in their upcomming graphic product XaraX, which I heartily recommend.
Don't forget this 3d app is free too. The free version is stripped down as well, lacking booleans and other stuff. But this is the 3d modeller that made Myst, dontchaknow.
In court they can reference their past losses in court over like-designed machines. Or did they win the iMac case against eMachines? If they did, then it is too bad for them.
Probably just settle out of court - Apple will never let the sales of the cube be stopped.
I don't know who did this math but it is WAY off. Really, it's been about 21. Last time I checked, 21 was less than 25. But I've been out of school for a while...
I think there are enough signs of this that it is a strong possiblity. Those who take advantage of new technologies will become more wealthy than those who don't. The working middle class will disappear. Thos with access to digital tech will become rich and powerful, those without it will become poor. It will be much like it was before the Industrial revolution. Those with the technology will have lax jobs as well - sitting at a computer, working at their leasure from any part of the globe.
I don't see any proof that these movies are being (or ever will be) rendered real-time. The reason we're dissing MS is because in the past they have overhyped and underdelivered. I can't think of an instance MS HASN'T done that, in fact. Even Windows 1 was buggy yet hyped. Until they do anything different, I'll (wisely) assume that these clips, while impressive, are not valid examples of working MS technology.
As long as you actually paid for the game the key checking isn't an issue. Actually, I like it. Helps keep the number of skript kiddies down (who call everyone in the arena "fags" when they die).
Well since there is a big sword in the game (its the main weapon, actually) I think they are justified in calling the game daikatana. Sure, you can read you japanese dictionary, but that doesn't make you worthy of the l33tness true japanese fluency affords.
You really don't know what you are talking about. Why don't you pull out your ruler and check what the real dpi of your monitor is? In all of the latest Macs none of the "Recommended" settings yield a dpi close to 72 dpi. And why would a PC be any different? They both have the same resolutions on monitors the same size, so math PROVES that they must have the same dpi. Just because the software says you have 72dpi does not mean you do. You do not have 72 dpi. A PC does not have 96 dpi. DPI is old school designers' tool to try and understand electronic design, when the two have nothing in common.
One of the features most requested by web designers for Mozilla is true alpha channel support in PNGs. I personally was looking forward to this feature. Do you have any comments (possibly compelling reasons) now that mozilla has pretty much decided that won't make it in the final release?
Yeah, that's my theme. Pretty obvious that it wasn't going to be removed. It's been around for a while. But I guess I'll hold off on releasing MY aqua theme. I'll call it WATER. Or something like that.
According to the OReilly Apache Book Canada does not allow software patents. I have looked into the issue, and it seems that Unisys was given a LZW patent here. Does anyone know more about this? If Canada really does have a policy against software patents then it might make a haven for the DVD source code.
Me: Ok, so you are 5 years ahead of Intel, right?
Transm: Yes, that's right. And AMD.
Me: But this technology, you've only been working on it for less than 5 years.
Transm: Correct. We were ahead even then.
Me: Ok, so Intel decided that want to be like you tommorow, it is still going to take then 5 years just to get to the point you are at right now?
Transm: yes.
Me: What makes you so great?
Transm: Linus Torvalds. He made linux in less than 5 years, too.
Me: No no no. Linus only makes you famous.
Transm: Well, I don't see Linux Torvalds working for Intel, do I??
Me: Or AMD. That's not the point. I don't see why Intel is going to take longer than you to do something when they are bigger.
Transm: Ok, five years is a long time. Doesn't that impress you??
Me: No! It doesn't matter if you are lying!
Transm: What?? We really do have Linux Torvalds! That is not a lie!

Here at fox, we are already looking forward to Friday's season openning of,"When Comets Erupt".

It seems that if the feature is coded, it isn't turned on, atleast in the latest nightly.

So, will it be OK to use GIF again once the patent on LZW runs out in the next year or so?

Are they very hard to get a hold of? I'm thinking that here in Canada they might be especially hard to find.
But to me they're half as good as the women of quake. The UT models are too - goth/scary.
I play games as women. And its not for "gender exploration". Its to see... well...
Yeah, gender exploration. I'd like to explore those nice...
Anyways, thats part of the reason I like Quake better than Unreal.
the post should have been moderated up. Where are MY moderation points when I want them??
My theme does use the Apple logo. I've tried to keep the thing legal, giving just credits, but you know...
Also, my theme uses the "old" logo. Perhaps they don't care about that one any more?
Yeah, that's my theme. Pretty obvious that it wasn't going to be removed. It's been around for a while. But I guess I'll hold off on releasing MY aqua theme. I'll call it WATER. Or something like that.
learn to spell seppuku!
you are obviously not fit for ninja yet!
