  2. Not a team effort on Register, Others Call Plagiarism in "Limbo of the Lost" Game · · Score: 1

This seems to me like the work of one mis-guided 'artist' they hired, rather than an entire team's effort to attempt to fool the entire world. I would guess this 'artist' found the work too time-consuming so he just started taking screenshots of other games and throwing them in there. I highly doubt this was a concerted effort on the part of the entire team. It would be funny if it were though.

Actually, $100US = $105.60Cdn Or rather, $100Cdn = $94.71US So if it's $100 more for the premium in Canada, that actually works out to $94.71 more (in US currency). The $50 price drop should equal to be about $52.78 in Canada. This doesn't mean anything though of course, because prices in Canada are always way higher - it's not a direct exchange rate problem.

One thing I've learned in my career is that if you're not having fun at work, then you will eventually become stressed, irratable, and not enjoy your day. at all. So, even though I'm a .NET junkie, I say go with the PERL job. You will have a better chance of becoming an important player in the company as it grows, and you will have a more enjoyable time, by the sounds of it. Again - Fun is #1. Money, Fame, hot women - those are secondary.

Well, that's what I call myself. Formally, I was a Phone Support Analyst (helpdesk), then a Client Support Analyst (desktop tech), and now I am a Business Information Systems Analyst (Codepoet :) - developing and maintaining applications using a variety of languages). Throughout the entire career path with this organization (it's a large one - 7000+ employees), I have always had to do server maintanance - most notably in the SQL realm. So I am starting to think that SQL is fast becoming a generic skill to have (at the basic level anyways). There will always be DBA's, but a lot of the routine stuff can be handled competantly by regular I.T. staff I believe.
